I know I saw a list on here of dealers that were not inflating MSRP but cant find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I am in lower MI and want to start an order (Or get a reservation), has anyone in lower MI (Tri County Area) used a dealer that is playing nice?
Is Ford Honoring A plan?

Thanks

The vast majority of dealers are at MSRP...that’s not hard to find. Any who are above should be selling zero of these, since you had the ability to move. You should be more interested in those who will offer discounts off of MSRP or invoice, which can be had fairly easily if you search.

Gamecock is right. (I really wanted to type that.)

If you search through this site you'll see dealerships offering below invoice. Just be sure to sniff out what extra charges they put on when you sit down with them but if you're starting at $4k or $2k below invoice, that's a mighty fine starting point.

I've often heard it's best to deal in out-the-door prices, but again, $4k or $2k or even $1k below invoice is a mighty fine starting point.

I believe A plan is still in effect. X is not....so if you are eligible for A, there is no need to look for a dealer that will deal. Look instead for one that has integrity.
Not from MI, where is the tri-county area?

A handful of dealers have advertised $1k below invoice. I know of only 2 that ran a special of $2k below. I have yet to see anybody go below that, let alone all the way to $4k below invoice. Perhaps you meant MSRP and not invoice?

Gamecock makes a hard point to argue.

Pricing vehicles over MSRP is just being a crook. I know someone will buy a vehicle from them because "they had only 3 reservations!" but come on... As I pointed out on another thread, I'm happy to pay MSRP; it's what I expected when I built and priced it out online. If I get some discount or special pricing when it comes time to pay, fantastic! If I don't, I won't be pissed off because of it either.

Likely any savings would just be dumped (and probably multiplied) back into their parts department anyways! #Accessories

You thinking of this?

Not sure it’s been updated in a while, but not sure if any dealers would have changed their positions since then either.

MSRP should be a given. But that alone is not sufficient. It seems quite a few dealers (not most) can find it to their benefit to either misguide you or chew up your order so they can essentially use your reservation to get the vehicle they want to put on the lot and sell well over MSRP. As was mentioned above, integrity of the dealership is important because the dealership has a ton of leverage over the process and wielding that leverage, while just playing dumb, can be easy money for them. The process is completely stacked in favor of the dealer. Priority codes and % of dealer allowances to sell off the lot vs to reservation holders has created an incentive for some dodgy dealers to make bank.

In all fairness, this seems to be the exception to the norm but beware.

I am paying MSRP. I am fine with it. I have bought my last two vehicles below MSRP, but didn't mind this. There is advantages to staying local, especially if you have a good dealer you can trust on other things like warranty and repair work.

I often times see people shop out of area or state, and then bitch when the local dealer doesn't want to help them on out on other things. Loyalty goes both ways the way I see it.

Good luck on the bargain shopping.

If you have A plan why are you looking at MSRP? I have D plan and got 2K below MSRP, you should beat that by at least $100 as that is the difference between to two.

This is a weird sentiment. "No, don't give me a break on my vehicle price! I'm just going to go spend it on other things I want!"

Or are you insinuating that the dealer is somehow going to force you to go buy accessories from their parts department? In which case, you should find another dealer.

Either way, I don't see how it's a valid argument why you shouldn't look for the best price possible for your vehicle.
