The “I didn’t get today’s email” hugging and crying thread

Was trying to find the earliest reservation to notInget an email, so started that biggest loser thread. Seams pointless now mixed in with the current thread, but you might very well be the earliest, or tied for earliest I’ve seen to not get one. Do you know if #s 1 and 2 got an email at your dealership?

I’m not sure. I’m with Granger and I think they’ve only had 1 FE and like 25 or so others.

I also have a 7/14 12:04 AM reservation that I asked to move to 2022 as my insurance plan.

I wish the message of that song could strike a cord with people in these times. We seem to have gone backwards from those days? Or at least, not made much progress?

Not sure which feeling i am running with... the “gut punch” of seeing someone post about getting build date and VIN or the ”sucks to be you” when an FE buyer hasn’t see theirs yet.

Cool! My first 45 was Badfinger, come and get it. That was my first real favorite song. I listened to that song over and over for months. God, I loved that song. Great memories!

My dealer just told me my 7/13@7:48PM FE order (first batch before they doubled the number of FE) is scheduled for production in August. That means September before I see it. Not really a first edition vehicle, not even a second or third edition. They should have just called it Platinum or something else...set the wrong expectation for us. Trying to not be mad.

On the other hand, my brother worked final inspection at Toyota and Tesla. He is the guy that goes through everything, approves/rejects vehicles and puts the window sticker on. He says never get the first thousand vehicles from any brand, ever. 100% of first 300 Tesla Model X Teslas went straight to repair shop. First 1000 Model S were absolute junk. Toyota usually has a 25% fail rate with a lot less vehicles outright rejected than Tesla. Usually takes a few thousand vehicles before they work out all the production and supplier problems. So that could be a positive.
