I have a Wildtrack SAS reservation converted to order. The order was placed 1/21 and shows code 99. I have discussed the code 99 with my salesman and they act clueless about the code 99. No amount of discussion will convince them that it means "do not build". They say my order has been "picked up" by Ford but that it will be next month before they know anything officially. None of this seems to match the discussions on the forum. When I told him that his info did not match what I am reading he sent another print out that shows my order In Processing and Unscheduled Clean. Does this mean anything? Does this mean the code 99 has been changed? Any suggestions from the experts?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not an expert, but it's my understanding that Unscheduled-Clean means exactly what your dealer is telling you. If it were going to be late, it would say something like Unscheduled-Compatibility.

Still the 99 priority code would bug me. I'd probably call Ford customer service just to be sure.

My Priority code is 19. this is how my sheet looks. I know i will be a 2022 but they still put it in as a 19 "just in case". 19 means build now, 99 means hold until later.

I called Ford and they acknowledged the order but did not know if code 99 was still associated with the order.

The code 99 does still bug me! Thanks guys.

It sure is my understanding (based only on what I've read here) that code 99 means your build is ready but WILL NOT be scheduled for production. Ford will pass it over in its scheduling until it is converted to a priority 10-19. The Code 99 is key for those not ready to build (typically because they want to wait for something that is only MY22 availability).

I'd keep pressing this with your dealer.

Can the dealer just go into the system and change the code?

99 code is stopping the order from being built and only the dealer can change. OK, the salesman is a dead-end, go over his head (be nice) and get a person that knows more, someone at the dealership does. Talk to the General Manager or Director of Operations or whatever title they are using.

That is my understand too based on everything I've read. My priority code is 19. If I had 99, it would make me very uncomfortable.

Yes - in fact, my understanding is that the dealer is the only one who can. It's not something Ford corporate can do. The way I understand it is that as soon as he does you take your place in line based on your reservation time stamp and your Bronco will be able to be picked up for production.

Yes. It is their responsibility to change that code to something else. No one else can.

When entering the orders, some or all of them defaulted to 99... if it did, the dealer must change it to a 10-19 to indicate to Ford that it's a live order that should be considered for scheduling.

If it has a 99 code, Ford will pass over it, assuming you don't want it scheduled.

If you want your Bronco considered for build immediately, your dealer must change that code.

If your dealer is confused by this, or Bronco order and scheduling in general, insist they call their Region representative for guidance.

And, I'd be asking the salesman/GM/anyone at the dealership to call their regional Ford rep and ask.

I am going to see the salesman and new car manager tomorrow at 10.

Hopefully we can get it resolved. I know the owner but hate to get him involved.

They are telling me that most of their orders are code99 so I wonder if they did not realize the code needed to be changed at the time the order was placed...

If you get this sorted for yourself, and everyone else, you're going to be a hero!

I was thinking the same thing.

It would be helpful if someone from a dealership could chime in with actual knowledge!
