Totally. Just by looking at that drawer you can tell that’ll happen.

Compare how it looks to the slide out tray which is said to level everything out. (You can see where things fall in relationship to the Nader pin for the rear gate)

I'm assuming this is bolted down? I recall reading somewhere that you could stand on that to access the roof (I guess you'd have to close the glass first). Would make it challenging should you ever need your jack underneath that... And I guess the tiny storage area would also be gone...

I was wondering if stuff could be stored under the rear seats as well, but it sure doesn't look like it. The way they fold, it appears all that space is taken.
Yes. There's one on the accessories list that just came out.

The space looks pretty tiny. I'll see if I can find a pic.
Here you are!

I knew when I saw your "like" I'd get your answer. Seems a little insane to me to let it be able to pop open on its one? bumpy road and it will flap open and close all day? Guess I'll investigate when I get to see one this Saturday
It looks like there are two hook and loop pads on the lid. Won't prevent it from popping open if you roll over but should eliminate rattle. If you do find yourself upside down, that widow maker will already be on the ground ready to help you flip the Bronco back over.:ROFLMAO:

We don’t have too many specifics... just pictures of the prototype.

I agree it would have to be secured, at least in the back (towards the front of the vehicle) to support the weight advertised. Additionally the quoted dimensions puts the extendable tray depth at 1/3 the overall unit depth, suggesting that’s necessarily to achieve the strength required as well. (And why it’s not available for the 2-door, as that same ratio would leave just a few inches of shells to work with.)

Are you sure it doesn't?

Wouldn't a loose tool or jack then be able to pop that lid open and injure someone?
Yes, I checked at my local Bronco event that I was able to close the tailgate but still pull the loop on the rear storage and open the compartment.

Do you think an extra inch or so from the door might block it? Say from a fold down table accessory?
