DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDER

Just got back from my dealer and found out that even though I stood there and watched him update my order from a Black Painted Modular top to a MIC top, the change did not take causing my order to show conflict. He changed it again (along with changing my interior from navy to black which is why I stopped in the first place), exited the the system and then logged back in to make sure the change saved this time.

I HIGHLY encourage those who had their dealer change their order to the MIC top to call and ask them to check the order to make sure it shows correctly in the system. Not sure if this was a dealer error or a WBDO error, but my FE would have ended up in purgatory for months despite he a fact that I had a 7/13 reservation time stamp.

Always good to double check. I asked for my vehicle order confirmation, and the DORA the following day, just to make sure. I'm paranoid about a keying error or something small that could have been mixed up. I also brought (and saved) my build from Ford.ca to compare the items, and ensured the prices matched up. Even the sales person was impressed how prepared I was lol.

The crazy thing is, they gave me a order preview sheet when they made the top change and it was correct. IDK what happened

Did you get a DORA? This shows a confirmation from Ford that they received the order from the dealership and breaks everything out. Basically it's just a receipt.

No, but I’ll be sure to ask for it this time! I thought what I had was the DORA.

I initially thought my vehicle order confirmation was too, but when I asked they sent over the DORA the next day and it looks very different, but has similar info.

Good to know. I know that a lot of people said the made their top changes via email or over the phone, so I’m not sure how many received a new (or the original) DORA.

Thanks for the heads up on this, what is DORA short for? My dealer has shown to be a bit inept and I’m afraid what I’ll get if I ask for DORA lol.

WARNING

This is not consistent for everyone and does not always update after an order is submitted or modified.

You can only really rule *in* that the order was submitted correctly, you can’t rule it *out*.

I.E. If you look up the code and it matches what you want, then you know the order is submitted correctly.

However, if you look up the code and it does not match what you want, it doesn’t mean anything.... It could either be that the order is incorrect, or it could mean that it is correct but the info didn’t get pushed correctly to your Ford.com profile.

The only want to know for sure what is in the system, is to have your dealer show you in the system. (The customer service line cant even see it.)

Exactly. I just did a quick search and found someone’s example of a DORA. It’d have been nice if my dealer provided that to me at some point. All good though, now I know what to ask for. Thanks again OP for the reminder on this!

These are technically from the older CONCEPTS ordering system but the order printouts with the big Ford oval at the top from WBDO are effectively the same thing.

I just asked for an updated DORA after my last minute changes back to Onyx Black Seats. Figure it can’t hurt to triple check.
