Why is there no tow package available on base?

Is it because it’s not capable of towing (unlikely) or because they’re doing the usual attempt to upsell to a higher level?

Base even comes with “Trailer Sway Control” standard and is available with the tow package to Fleet (.gov) buyers.

Better off with an aftermarket class III or IV anyway... Been posted on adnauseum up in here...

I've installed two aftermarket hitches. Should be fairly easy on a new vehicle with no rust in the threaded frame holes. Although have a sledgehammer handy, for some reason the hitch mounting ears come bent or slightly off, had to bash them a bit.
