MPG Poll...yes it has come to this

If avg. MPG is below this number, I'm walking away.

Not too many vehicles out there let you drive topless, doorless so I'm in for the long haul
That's the thing...we have a lot of people that are new to this vehicle...and as seen above, think this is a Honda CRV equivalent. They will quickly adapt and love it, or be putting it for sale in the first week when they realize what they have....but thay have no idea....thus many of the responses.

My 92 Bronco got 6. 01 Pathfinder gets 18.
Magic Christmas Land: I'd love mid to upper 20s, but really I'll be happy with anything in the mid to upper teens.

I just can't wrap my head around how people want this vehicle to be able to look cool on 35's bro, fit my family of 6 in it, get great gas mileage, all while hauling all my crap to where ever I need. I so enjoy reading these threads. 🤣
f-150's can pretty much do most of this

@Gamecock I agree. Although the interior space IS the equivalent of a CRV. I love this truck and I am pumped to get it. I ran the numbers, and know what I am getting myself into in terms of usability. But many others may be unpleasantly surprised.

I had three wranglers.
I averaged high 18s almost 19 in a 2004 4.0 wrangler that’s engine dates back to what, before 1987?

I guess I’m giving the 2.7 too much credit.

it at least better be considerably roomier than a TJ since I haven’t even driven a JK.

Pffft! I'm expecting 1000spm(smiles per mile)with built in latte machine powered by unicorn farts!this statement made about as much sense as thinking the Bronco is an economising wonder.

This is a poor choice for a commuter.

As a toy car - I really don't care about gas mileage. All my buddies with modified Jeeps are getting 12 to 14 mpg and I'll be thrilled with anything better than that. I'm getting 12 mpg on an old jeep with 110 horsepower on (35s 4:88) with a maximum speed that is wind direction dependent around 60 mph. I don't think I will be disappointed.

2020 EPA ratings for basic Jeep Wrangler 2-door city/highway:

3.6L V6 automatic: 18/23
3.6L V6 manual: 17/25
2.0L I4 (turbo) automatic: 22/24

Note, there's a bit of flex in those numbers depending the source, but it's close to that.

So, I expect a Bronco base to hit 20mpg rating on highway. In reality with some 33"s I will lose a bit of mpg, but that is life.

Lead footed and loaded 4-door Sas drivers though, could be in for significantly lower mpg, when image faces reality of operating such a vehicle.
+1.

After removing the hardtop and doors from my 2-door Jeeps, the on-pavement handling and overall driving experience improvement is noticeable. Weight matters. In particular when removed from higher up on the vehicle.
Saint Colin Chapman has long agreed with this philosphy

"Simplify and add lightness"

I'm fairly optimistic, to be honest. it's the same engine and roughly the same curb weight as a ranger, but with the doors and roof on, is actually a bit more aerodynamic given that it doesn't have a nice drag-y bed on the back. I wouldn't be surprised to see 24-26 on the highway

so far, <15 is winning?!
Is it?

Interestingly if avg. MPG is below 15 mpg, approx. 25% of buyers are saying they will walk away. If this were truly a statistical poll that should be very concerning to Ford.
