Followup to my "California ordered my plate in August post"
Well, I got a thing in the mail, said "make a reservation to pickup your plate".
Good luck with that, all CA DMV "Make an appointment links" lead you to, "You don't need an appointment to do that". Oh yea, and "...the Vanity Plate program in California has been suspended" (They should have thought about that before releasing 30% of the prison population last fall)
Called the Toll-Free number, "Your hold time is approximately 11 minutes". An hour and a half later, I hung up.
Decided, "I'm not going to let the system beat me on this!"
Pulled the plates of Mrs GC, grabbed the reg card, and determined to get my plate, cleared my calendar and headed to the DMV office.
2 1/2 hours later..... SCORE!
Hope I get my Bronco before I gotta renew the tags.
Oh, and I asked the gal "So.... how hard is it to swap plates between vehicles?" She says, "Oh, no problem! Just come on in!" (ha!)
was surpised this one was available two or three years ago...but I got it, may transfer to new one if it ever gets built..... been following the new Bronco it seems like forever.....
Just delivered today! Michigan only allows 7 letters, so it's the closest I could get...
I am guessing that I will look like the rider below when I go off-road for the first time with the new rig. I also work in the financial industry and trade stocks. So, a bit of a double meaning. Giddyup!
