  1. Pondering a jump from my F150

My wife has a Bronco, I have a '16 F-150. For a DD I would never trade. The 150 is much more refined/polished and has much more room. Much quieter, I don't have a b pillar in my armpit, the center rear view mirror isn't below my chin etc. Bronco is better on a trail because it's...
  2. A/T All-Terrain Tires Tested On the Road Review - by Tire Rack

I have them on two vehicles, I really like them as well.
  3. The 4A Advantage

Central axle disconnect. Basically "breaks" one axleshaft so the entire front driveline doesn't turn with the wheels in 2wd. Historically a weak point in every 4wd system it graces.
  4. The 4A Advantage

My favorite part of 4A is that it eliminates the CAD in the front axle. I dont like how it does all the behind the scenes stuff and masks road conditions. Just because you can go doesn't mean you can stop or turn. My trucks have never had it and aside from deleting the CAD nonsense I won't...
  5. Do I really need the stabilizer bar disconnect?

We did the Texas offroadeo in a Wildtrack as I wanted to mirror our Black Diamond as much as I could. We did everything without issue. It is like comparing a potato to an orange but off roading on our own the articulation of our BD is far from impressive. I can pick up a rear wheel in our...
  6. Texas Off Roadeo Advice/Thoughts/Expereince

Yeah, not bad and an interesting drive.
  7. Texas Off Roadeo Advice/Thoughts/Expereince

We did, wasn't really needed for us but one couple ahead of us put a wrinkle in one of the rear doors somehow. We had Nick, he was great.
  8. Texas Off Roadeo Advice/Thoughts/Expereince

We had fun last october, it goes fast. Nobody really stuck around afterwards. Make sure to connect with others to share pictures/videos. We stayed at the Motel 6 in Marble Falls which was perfectly adequate for us.
  9. CR ranks Bronco @ 46/100 on Lowest Ranked Cars list

The Ranger was not a captive import, it was built in the US for 11 years before they started hanging Mazda badges on it. Mazda probably diddled with the styling but they had little to nothing to do with the base truck. They did the same thing with the Ford Explorer/Mazda Navajo.
  10. Any 2023 Bronco owners have the Window Rattle issue?

The 21 Wildtrack we drove in the Texas Offroadeo last fall was annoyingly solid. I discovered on the 15hr drive down there in our car if I push on the window with my elbow it would give me a temporary reprieve.
  11. Rattling Windows

They were great for the first year, had the dealer do the adjustment tsb when they started making noise and it was great for a week. Sounds like I am driving a Styrofoam cooler, same noise with the doors open or closed.
  12. Rattling Windows

How does rattling windows aid in removing the doors?
  13. Rattling Windows

No, a poor design is a poor design. Window rattle issues are non existent in the real world on cars that actually sell for $28k new. Bronco starts at $39k for a 2dr Big Bend. Ford has supposedly been working on a fix for like two years and counting.
  14. CR ranks Bronco @ 46/100 on Lowest Ranked Cars list

Can't say I disagree, they certainly left a lot of room for improvement. I have been driving trucks for 24 years and not very fancy ones. However ours does flirt with 25mpg which for a brick on 32" AT's ain't bad IMO. I don't mind the actual road manors but the cramped cockpit, and air...
  15. Anything scarier than running out of warranty... which extended warranty to get (if any)?

Yeah, dealer did the adjustment tsb and it worked great for about a week.
  16. Anything scarier than running out of warranty... which extended warranty to get (if any)?

Our Bronco is the first vehicle we have owned that actually had a warranty. Never owned a vehicle as new as it either. We did have a couple issues that were resolved under warranty and the ongoing window rattle has been ongoing long enough it has survive beyond the warranty because Ford has...
  17. Why are Jeepers so rude to everyone else?

We have come across rude jeepers and nice ones i think kind of like any other demographic. We were solo wheeling at Kansas Rocks last year and came across a jeep club from back home (Just Jeep Club of Omaha to set the preconceived notions) and they invited us to tag along with them. Bunch of...
  18. My 'Un-wheelable' Bronco (35"s, 3.73's, no lockers)

I did test fit it on the truck tonight... Ours leaked once on the passenger side of the dash. Only did it once. Dealer (my brother) found a TSB about installing a updated seal at the top of the windshield with window seal sealant. It only ever leaked the one time which was baffling.
  19. My 'Un-wheelable' Bronco (35"s, 3.73's, no lockers)

It would be cheaper to buy for steelies to match your spare... would probably look nicer too. We had a updated seal put in ours that ran across the top of the windshield.
  20. Cheap interior, build quality for $70k

Ours has a ding in the hood in about the same place lol. The paint is perfect so I assume it was during stamping or at least pre-paint. But I think you are confusing utility with disposable. Utilitarian is usually basic, tough and durable. Like the original Bronco interior in its prime. Or...
