If you received the email from Ford titled " Bronco™ Timing Update" concerning the extra points in addition to the purchase you might want to re-read it & pay special attention to the asterisks ;)

The Ford Pass App is free, I've been using it for years, although it's not very useful-but that's another issue.

The fee I was referring to is to activate the web service, as required in the small print of the Bronco Offer we received (as I stated in the part of my post you cutout).

I hope that I'm wrong, I have some accessories already picked-out and would prefer not to spend $120+ over a six month period to receive $300- But that is what the offer from Ford says?

The terms of a Bronco Sport purchase are in-fact not the same as the Bronco, which is what this forum is discussing. Not sure why you feel the need to prove anyone wrong, rather than to contribute to the discussion- but you have yet prove anyone "wrong" and the discussion continues until a definitive answer is provided (hopefully soon).

The only thing you have proven is that someone purchased a Bronco Sport and received points. Perhaps the points requirements are not the same for the Bronco, and the communication from Ford is correct-perhaps not.

A quick google search of “Ford pass connect fees” says ford got rid of fees in 2019 in connect equipped vehicles. Might be a 2-year free trial?

I’m getting a manual so I don’t expect to use the app much. Maybe unlocking will be useful. But I still want the $300.

Not entirely true, some parts of FordPass Connect are free, some are not.

FordPass Connect with Wi-Fi Hotspot- Is still offered as a cost based service. The Wi-Fi Hotspot is offered thru ATT, Verizon, Etc. Which is the $20+ a month I was referring to.

Check out here: How To Get FordPass Connect™ with WiFi Hotspot

Another thread posted on B6G says that the Bronco has two modems, one for FordPass Connect, and one For FordPass Connect Wi-Fi Hotspot, now its really confusing...

Hey Eric, can you tell us which bronco(s) you’re getting from Ford as your dealer loaner? I forgot what the acronym was.

F.C.T.P. Ford Courtesy Transp.... something. I haven't ordered them yet but if it's like the Bronco Sport I will get to choose the package and the color. I would likely choose to build a base with 2.3L and manual transmission, and a wildtrak lux with all the options. That's if I get to choose. Any suggestions?

Would you order a 2 door and a 4 door for folks to compare? It's so hard to tell how big (or small) the 2 door is in real life.

2 door and 4 door is a solid idea. I'll do that. I think it would be better to order a wildtrak than a badlands because the wildtrak has unique interior and unique graphics. I'm not against a badlands though. For interior I agree that getting something other than the 'default' would be ideal. Ultimately I am ordering them with the intention of attracting future orders, so I have to think about what a majority of people will want to see.
