I've been following this for the past day now and figured I pose the question. Lay it out in simple terms to see if it can be answered.

Dealer A starts with 60 reservations. Initial allocation we'll set at 33%. So initial allocation is 20.

Dealer A then becomes the new Bronco6G whore 😁 (meant in a nice way of course) and goes from 60 reservations up to 300. We'll assume they all convert to order.

Now, when new allocations come out, does this number stay at 33% or bump to 50%? And is it still considered a MY21 allocation?
33% = 100 allocations. 50% = 150 allocations.
Either way though, jumping from 20 original allocations up to 100 or 150 is what I would consider a sizable jump.

Is any of my statement possibly correct?

No idea if this is correct but I will say I was scrolling tv channels yesterday and saw Overkill's In Union We Stand video 🤘, such a great tune

Between that being an anthem for metal heads back in the 80's and Deny the Cross for our dark side, man i miss those days. 🤘I'm sure @BAUS67 would agree.

I totally agree. I just think that there are folks switching dealerships not understanding that allocation plays a roll in whether they get a 2021 or 2022MY. I’m sure you gathered I am a dealer and I have an early reservation myself. I will pay MSRP to get a 2021 knowing I could save a few grand and wait until 2022. If customers switching dealers are fully aware that they are likely getting a 2022, I think that is great (not sure they are actually saving money, but they might be). I am only concerned that a lot of customers don’t seem to understand that they are not guaranteed to get a 2021 at a discounted price if the selling dealer has more converted orders than expected allocation.
Late to this and I’m sure it’s been answered but you don’t give the folks enough credit for being adults and researching if this is a good move for them or not. There is plenty of info on this board and enough people on both sides of the coin.

No one is deceiving them or forcing them to switch from dealers like yourself

Allocation, wow thank you for enlightening us, we would have never known had you not told us.

Did you bother to read the thousands of posts on the forum discussing all the details and implications of allocations? No, I didn't think so. The forum has known about allocation even before the Ford telecom to dealers was over months ago.

If you really think you can jump on Bronco6g and act like the typical dealer, that customers are stupid and need to believe whatever some newbie dealer spouts off, you don't understand how informed and the level of intellect of the Bronco6g members.

The truth is, none of us really know for sure. My best educated guess (Ford dealer for the last 30 yrs) is that dealer A would increase actual allocation of 2021MY fractionally, that is, maybe 30 units versus 20. A sizable increase by percentage, but not a crazy increase in actual units. Understand, as one dealer increases allocation, there must be another dealer or dealers that go down by that number as total production for 2021MY is what it is...limited. As Ford has said that 2022 allocation will be determined by a "turn and earn" formula, the more you sell in 2021, the more you should get in MY2022. Hope that adds some clarity, given that most dealers are still waiting for exact clarification from the FMC.

Ever consider decaf brother? I didn't come here to sell anything or pee on anyones parade. Sorry if my 30 years of automotive experience (all with Ford) doesn't met your standard for contribution to the community. Please point to one post that I have been disrespectful or trying to sell anything to anyone. I am a little surprised at the level of vitriol on this forum. There are some members here that aren't as enlightened as you and you obviously feel your toes have been stepped on in some manner. If I have done something to you personally, please feel free to send me a private message and we can discuss. To insult me for no particular reason seems a little bit uncalled for.

It's very poor form to hijack another dealers thread and try to inform people about the most discussed subject on the forum for months.

Well, I certainly didn't intend to "hijack" Toms thread as he seems like a real gentleman. Tom, if that is your take, I certainly apologize for "hijacking" your thread. As to you, Mr. North7, you are still welcome to my pajama party next weekend. Seriously consider that decaf as life is far too short to be angry. As an aside, can you tell me how many posts one should have to have an opinion so I might pop back in later when I am more informed. Please and thanks. Cheers!

@DealerInsider Here is a technical question that has probably a wide and curious audience:
A) when do so manuals come out?
B) when do electrical schematics come out
C) if A and B are "Not for as long time" then what is the chance for a quote, for labor only, of switching the signature light wiring harness to bring able to plus into the standard headlights wiring harness?
