Do you have an estimate of how many actual vehicles (Bronco’s)you are expecting to receive for model year 2021?
no, bc the the initial estimate was based on volume and estimated conversions on reservations...the April final formula is based 50% on what’s really converted, 25% volume, & 25% wrangler/4Runner registrations in our PMA

Curious, what was the initial estimate? Understand if you don’t want to share that information. I would assume the volume and Wrangler/4Runner registrations are pretty set. So the conversion rate is the only real variable.

16...reg in pma wasn’t in the initial estimate...so it’s 2 variables for the final April #...21/22 production schedule is over 10-14 months so everyone should have a car by June of 2022 (per my ford regional mgr)

Thanks for the clarification. I would be curious how many actual allocations the 2 smaller dealers offering the amazing prices are expecting. I think a few people may be in for a surprise when they can’t get a 2021 for “the deal”. I would expect that 2022 production will be back to normal and 1K below invoice won’t seem like such a deal. Your thoughts?

no one should be surprised if they don’t get a 2021, no matter what deal or dealer they are at...I have orders converted with painted or dual tops, even though they have an early res #, that could push them to 2022...the best thing to do is get the best deal you can and be patient...eventually your bronco will be built...

I totally agree. I just think that there are folks switching dealerships not understanding that allocation plays a roll in whether they get a 2021 or 2022MY. I’m sure you gathered I am a dealer and I have an early reservation myself. I will pay MSRP to get a 2021 knowing I could save a few grand and wait until 2022. If customers switching dealers are fully aware that they are likely getting a 2022, I think that is great (not sure they are actually saving money, but they might be). I am only concerned that a lot of customers don’t seem to understand that they are not guaranteed to get a 2021 at a discounted price if the selling dealer has more converted orders than expected allocation.

Since my conversions surpass the initial estimate, myself and 4 other employees moved ours to 99 priority so our customers have the opportunity to get theirs first...if a dealer is soliciting transfers and promising 2021, thats just wrong...transferring gives the customer an opportunity for a 2021, but we don’t know until we get our final allocation in April...this is all new to us and the customers, so it’s a fluid situation and we are learning as we go...so far, all the transfers from this forum have been awesome & understanding...I hope, based on the level of customer service and involvement on the forum, they will be patient to see it through with me, whether it’s June of 2021 or June of 2022...I’m thankful & appreciative they are giving me this opportunity

I couldn’t agree more. I am a likely to cancel my order as well as we are getting close to 100% converted orders to projected allocation. It is indeed a fluid situation. I respect what your dealership is doing and applaud you for being out in front of things. I think we would all prefer to have more inventory to sell even if it meant lower margins. I am certainly not accusing any dealer(s) of anything but i recently had a conversation with a 7/13 res customer with an FE reservation who said he wanted to switch his res to discount dealer X. I explained that if that dealer is only getting 1 FE and he is not the earliest time stamp he would have an issue. He indicated they guaranteed he would get his 2021 FE. That was a little concerning as to what misinformation might be circulating. Again, kudos to you and your team as you seem to be doing a great job in a less than ideal situation for us car dealers!
