While also a good choice, I have not enjoyed their pour spouts and for commercial vehicles i've found that the military grade stuff is scaled for military sized fuel inlets!

There are lots of great articles on why the Scepter's are a good choice. Lots of it comes down to personal preference. Authentic Wavian Jerry's that aren't beat on have done me well. I wouldn't be as inclined to stick with metal containment if I had to store them outside, and they certainly don't travel with me to alkaline environments such as where I go camping annually.
They have the proper spout for regular vehicle usage...again kind of pricey in CONUS, but very reasonable up in Canada. I like the 10L/2.5gal...smaller and easier on the back. 20L/5 gallons of fuel is pretty heavy. Lots of people carry the 20L/5gal fuel on the roof or tailgate on their overland rigs. Aching back!

I've got this on my Jeep - works great. It does however add 80+ lbs. to the spare tire carrier and requires a heavy duty bumper mounted swing mount. I doubt the oem Bronco spare tire carrier is beefy enough.
Agreed. Until we know more about the OE swing gate & hinges I suspect they are not up to the task. Cool solution however.

For those following this conversation I’ll also recommend tossing out the Wavian spout. Brand new just put that spout right in the trash. Go to eBay spend 10 min and 20 bucks and order a basic spout.

Also have trust the aftermarket will give plenty of options. The rotopax mount I have (bolted onto tailgate hinge) could probably be adapted in 30 seconds by the manufacturer (retrofit off-road) to the bronco.

You probably could, but then you couldn't open the Bronco tailgate past 90 degrees.

I don't know if putting gas cans in the interior is the best idea. I think I read there's something like 35k vehicle fatal accidents per year in the US, and IIRC a good number of the fatalities are due to fire. If that's the case, seems like a particularly bad way to go, and I don't think gas cans in the interior would help a person's odds much. I might be remembering wrong though.

Found this a while back and have confirmed with the company they are working on a no drill solution for the Bronco.

Any update on this? It seems to be dependent on the roof rack. I do see an option that says you order stand alone, but the picture still shows it connects to roof rack. I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, I passed on accepting my Bronco and returned to the dark side with a Jeep Wrangler so I’m not super up to date on this.

Looks like the work around drilling by latching into the grooves of the hard top where the factory roof rack rails would clamp on. They then run bars over the top to connect both sides to mimic the stability they would normally get from the rack. Shouldn’t have to drill, but I would shoot them a quick email to make sure.

Hope this helps! Got this picture from their website. Note: they do say the standalone (no roof rack) only works on 4 doors.

Haha, yes! I don’t blame you. Jeeps have that appeal. I’ve owned 3 of them so the temptation to go back is always there.

Yes. I see what you’re saying. I saw that stand-alone and I reached out via email and they told me this:

The stand alone design and offering will be available in the spring.

I’m not too sure yet how the design would work but I’m assuming either similar to what you said (which is what they have currently) or they might have come up with something that truly is independent.

I'll need to carry spare gas once or perhaps twice a year. Didn't want to carry it inside the truck. After way overthinking it, I went with this vs jerry cans. Easy off and on when not needed. An extra four gallons. Hopefully the cans are high enough to avoid rupturing in case of a rear impact.
