That's why I said MY21 earlier...I will clarify. I do also worry thought that Ford will start building stock orders for dealers in MY22 before they fill the reservations, as they backed off the commitment not to and only refer to MY21 as building reservations before stock now.
Agreed... though by MY22 production should be in full swing so with any luck they'll be able to churn out retail and stock orders pretty quick.

The MY21 allocations have already been calculated. Switching at this point wouldn't help that particular customer.
How would it not help them? If they have an early reservation, but are just out of the first allocation numbers for one dealer, they could switch and bump a later reservation out if the allocation at another dealer that has more allocation, etc.

I edited original post, short story is the number is right, not many allocations, only 30% of pre 9/18 reservations (for mine and he said most stores) will get built as 21's ( that's if everyone converts at every dealer, that can/will change depending on cancellations)

Don't.

Things are turning out exactly how I wanted/planned for them to... not everyone has the same motivations.

::EDIT::

It seems that I might need to point out in this post that I'm not Zach@Granger... so my statements are as a private person who is looking forward to his Bronco.... not a representative of a dealership... since I don't work or own one.. even though my username rhymes with someone who does....

Your reservation* timestamp, and not the date that you place your order with your dealer, will be used to determine when your Bronco gets produced. Other factors for final delivery timing include vehicle model and configuration selected, part constraints, and the number of Bronco vehicles your dealer will receive.

If you have the earliest reservation and your dealer has 10 allocated and your the 11th order you will still get your Bronco and one of the other guys will be shafted. Unless the dealer decides not to put in your order. You have until the middle of March to place your order and still keep your spot.

Why? Ford can only make 70k vehicles for MY21, and there's 190k reservations. There's going to be A LOT of people at most dealers who aren't getting a MY21 liken they hoped.

Yeah, I'm willing to wait instead of getting screwed by all the colorado dealers.

Well, if that customer moves to a different dealer then they are most likely out of the preferred allocation number for the second dealer. Because the second dealer has already had their allocation ration determined on their applicable number. I liken it to something, if we can actually remember the days of going to a restaurant and each restaurant had a 45 minute wait and folks would restaurant hop until they found a "We can serve you now" even though you had just spent 45 minutes restaurant hopping.

Isn't the order based on reservation time stamp? So if they transfer, they would just be inserted according to their time stamp within the new dealer orders list?

Your time stamp only puts you in order at your dealer and not nationwide due to Ford's kowtowing to big dealers who whined like little spoiled brats.

So, you could be a day 2 reservation holder who doesn't get a MY21 due to being number n+1 where n is your dealership's allocation amount. Then some employee of Big Dealer who ordered a week after launch gets a MY21 because their allocation amount is more than that employee's place in line, n-x. Then, that employee refuses delivery or gets bought out by Big Dealer and BAM! DEALER stock of MY21 before you get your day 2 reservation.

That's why people outside of Atlanta are pissed and rightfully so.

I Know right. Hey Ford, how about we call them something else, like "Reserved Units" and "Stock Units" the whole allocations word is confusing.
Nope, it's an English word and covers all types of orders.

The MY21 allocations have already been calculated. Switching at this point wouldn't help that particular customer.
I disagree. If you see my example above, there is a possibility of a situation where it would help.

Small Dealer has 8 allocations
Big Dealer has 100 allocations

Your reservation timestamp puts you 9th in line at Small Dealer, but would put you 80th in line at Big Dealer and you would get a MY21

I just got an email from my Zone manager with our allocation, I'm hoping its very wrong, but if its not we only got enough allocation to fill our 7/14 and 7/15 orders. I'm hoping its an error, but things could be about to get ugly.

Edit- Just talked to the zone rep, number was correct. He said it was about 30% of the reservations (by 9/18) for most dealers and that matches mine. He did say to remember that this was the estimate, it will change based on the number of reservations that cancel, and they're expecting more cancellations at certain dealers so he's hoping that the number will go up as they loose allocations.
And this is what will piss off many. We placed our reservation and deposit, we have tried to wait patiently, we survived some of the screw ups and delays, we make our order, perhaps put down another $500>$1K.............to only find out your Dealer won't even receive (even built) your Bronco anytime soon.

The QUESTIONS is.....is that allocation the number that they are slotted to receive in the entire 2021 year? So if you did not reserve in the first 1-3 days.......you can expect you won't receive your BRONCO until 2022? So many unanswered questions.

So what I’m understanding is that as long as you ordered before 9/18, you should receive it this year? OR does that mean that ONLY 30% of the orders from first day to 9/18 will be MY21?
