Reposting my reply from the other thread. The numbers seem off, but will have to to wait to hear from Ford as to what actual pricing will be.

I'm super late to this party, but build and price numbers don't add up right now (and haven't really ever). Left is a base 2door with the 2.7L and auto transmission, right is the same with Sasquatch Package added.

The difference in options results in a total change of $7,385. And has been the case in the past, the line level breakdown of options hasn't quite added up to the pricing summary.

As many have pointed out, build and price has been funky and continues to be strange. Its not really a true ordering tool, so might not know actual pricing until order is placed with the dealer.

There surely must be a bug on the build and price between WildTrak and Badlands. Building them each with exactly the same options the Wildtrak is $2465 cheaper. That makes zero sense. Even at nearly $2500 cheaper than my original Badlands build I can't do it, that Fugly interior, I can't get past it. Both are Sasquatch, 2.7, auto high package and steel bumper and bashplate on the Wildtrak to make it the same as the Badlands.

What it essentially boils down to is that I don't want that ugly interior I have to pay and additional $2500 for the exact same optioned truck. Surely there is some kind of mistake in there somewhere?
Wildtrak isn't an upgrade from the Badlands. It's an upgrade from Outer Banks.

It's not the top of the line model. Badlands is the most equipped model. It makes sense that WT starts at a higher base price (with the 2.7 and Sas standard) but if you match everything you can Badlands still has more features in the end because it's the top.

That's why the price is higher.

Nah, I think I'll continue to vent that we were misled for months on pricing. Normally I'm in your shoes but this is ridiculous and I'm pissed. For the base 4 door the auto was standard and included. Meaning, I had no reason to think the auto prove was overlooked. The 4 door was already about 4500 more than the 2 door.

Ill be happy to not complain if you send me the pricing difference of 1595 plus tax. I take Venmo and Zelle.

Enjoy that. You're just gonna wind up right back where you started but to each their own. Vent away if it makes you feel better.

Yea, i'm going to go out on a pretty thin tree limb here with the following:
  • It's SEMA, you aren't getting that from Toyota
Don't disagree, but it's still a cool concept. Another company showed off their SEMA concept and everyone is convinced they can buy all the bits and pieces.

100%. I’m still thinking about taking her home for a bit then dumping her. Or telling her in the bar that I’m down but leaving with another chick (aka ordering a BL 2.7 Lux leather sas then not taking delivery). My dealer rep sounds too nice to do that too though.
You could use her for a year or two for your own pleasure before you dump her. If she's sexy enough, plenty of guys will be happy to take her off your hands when you're through with her.

And who knows, so many of your buddies may talk about how jealous they are about what you got that you end up marrying her.???

I feel like there is still an error with the badlands. it wont let you add powder coated tube step, which makes sense as it was originally supposed to include the rock rail, but now the rock rails are a $595 option so why no option to add the tube step?

Actually the rock rails are standard. The issue is the B&P is wrong saying you need to purchase rock rails for $595. You need to go to a different model other then BD or BL to get the tube step.

Love how the forum is being flooded with all these new pics from the factory. Bury the bad news down deep!
You can probably blame the people that have been saying all along what a bargain they were getting. They might as well have said they're willing to pay more. Ford heard them and they got their wish.
