You'll certainly show them by buying a Ford instead of a Ford
Who said anything about "showing them"? I don't purchase vehicles for "revenge". I purchase them to suit my needs. I'm not going to pay more for a lesser equipped vehicle. It just makes no sense to me.

If this price increase sticks and isn't some programming bug. I may be out, These a bronco's will be discounted after the hype is over. Rebates, special models, special packages. All these will be available at a later date. Also mix in the first year problems you know that will happen. I might be holding off, Ford is just giving my way to many signs that they are not ready to release this model. They are looking dummies and I'm just way to patient to be taken advantage.
Exactly my thoughts too...this has problems written all over it.

Ford thinks they are going to get $1,595 more outta me for my build when in reality it’s looking more like $1,895 less! 7MT here I come!...maybe...

(and to be clear it’s 7MT Bronco or no Bronco)

What's the 7MT? I'm seeing that in a few places....Is that the Defender?

I have to say that for the first time since the July release, the rock stars have pushed me to the point of considering not converting my two reservations into orders. They have taken most of the enjoyment out of what for me is a completely discretionary toy purchase.

My plan was buying a $$$ loaded Badlands, and possibly a basesquatch as a second Bronco (I am fortunate to be in a position that cost is not a problem). But even with the great deals Stephens and Granger are offering, this latest perturbation has pushed a very understanding and accommodating person to the brink.

It's not bad enough to find that Ford has substantially "changed the deal" in mid-purchase (I know there was nothing firm from a contractual standpoint, but the B&P definitely set this customer's expectations), but their handling of it has been a MBA case study on how *not* to handle bad news. At a minimum, the B&P changes should have been preceded by at least an official Ford e-mail to reservation holders, even if it only said "we screwed up, sorry, B&P had errors and prices will be higher -- please don't leave the reservation line."

This will be a total loss for Ford, as I don't need another vehicle. Even if I needed to purchase another vehicle (which I don't -- I already have 3 newer vehicles), the bad taste currently in my mouth would ensure I would not be looking at a different Ford model. This from a person who has purchased nothing but Fords for >35 years (except two Corvettes, because Ford didn't have an equivalent).

This is not a COVID-driven problem, this is problem caused by inexperienced and inept people who are screwing-up the conversion of desire/demand for an outstanding product handed to them from design and engineering into dollars.

As of today, the only thing that I can think of that would keep me in line is an announcement from Ford of a Bronco management shake-up to get experienced, customer communication-focused managers in place, along with an accompanying customer outreach to explain how things will change going forward.

That's odd, I have the exact same set up and mine went up $1.4k.
I think there’s a glitch. Because my was BD 2.7 (auto) block heater and advanced 4x4 and the price actually went down, as if they didn’t charge the 4x4. I exited by accident, went back in, the price jumped buy a little over a thousand.

I'm sure Ford will come back with a statement to apologize and also to say " To show our appreciation to our customers for still ordering, we are giving y'all an additional 10,000 FordPass Rewards Points ($50 worth)" LOL

Badlands: If you select 2.7l the auto is included and the charge for accessories $1895.00 total.

If you select any other option say the tow package at $595 the B&P changes accessory charges to $4085.00. The auto trans gets added to the total when any other option is selected but doesn't if no other option selected.

Using my old build link stayed the same, running a new build with exact same options increased the price by $1435. the "FREE" Auto Xmission is now no longer free :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Currently, the Outer Banks comes standard with Auto and the 2.3. You can upgrade to the 2.7. for $1895. A BD with with V6 auto and mid package is almost equivalent to the same OB build, but the OB is actually a tier higher. This is just a bizarre price structure.

I told all of you to just get the Base with nothing on it and you would not be disappointed, then upgrade later. You wanted your crazy Chewbacca packages and Super-de-luxe trims and now you are disappointed. I warned you!
I hate to admit it but you are probably right. I’m not only building a Base on B&P today but will also be test driving a stick this week. My steel hip and the stop and go traffic initially kept me away from a manual BUT I loved my 1976 Courier, 87 Ranger and 98 Ranger all with manual.

AND I have a seventeen year old. The best safety feature I could ever give my teenager is not the Mid Package but a stick shift! No texting, drinking Starbucks, twit tocking or whatever that social crap is.

It's now up to 8980 , added the auto!!!!

I'll tell you right now, I'm out if this shit holds.
I was looking at a Super Duty, but outta anger, I'll just go elsewhere.
This was a mega-bad move for Ford. We all expected that we had Contacts for purchase at the prices offered. I certainly did. If they wanted to change prices for 2023 - that’s fair.

To bait and switch SO MANY loyal fans was really bad form.
