Ford always has prioritized retail orders (customer) over stock within each dealers queue. Commodity constraints would be the only reason a stock unit would get built first in 2022 at your dealer. Each dealer has a different queue and different allocation, so a stock unit could be built for another dealer in the country before yours, but within your dealer queue, your order will have priority.
Yes, in the past you could put a stock order ahead of a retail, but a few years ago, all retails have to be ordered priority 10-19 (or it won't take the order) and all stock are 20 and up so you can't put a stock ahead of a retail anymore (used to be able to generate extra allocations this way, put a fake or not wanted yet retail that would generate an extra allocation but have a stock prioritized so it would get built not the retail)

2022 is not a known quantity, so all bets are off on that. Ford told us that 2022 would be different and it would be announced at a later date. We all assume it will go back to a normal sales based allocation system, but not sure if they will run something different for the leftover reservations or how that will go. I think it will depend on conversion rate and how many are left at the end of 2021.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Been with Serramonte Ford for 10 years, retails have always been 10-19 as far back as I can remember. ROVP makes more sense in that context.

re: 2022. Yeah, that makes sense, in theory. Retails would get priority, I would assume. There's also a scenario where we get a 2nd wave of demand once they hit the streets and you get a lot more orders than expected for 2022.

I think an important thing to remember is that Ford is operating under an assumption of 70% order conversion when discussing allocation and MY2021/2022 estimations. That number seems unrealistically high to me and I believe most of you would agree. The model 3 required $1,000 deposit and they only saw a 30% conversion rate. I can't imagine Ford seeing 70% with a $100 deposit. I know this forum isn't representative of most reservations, but look how many people on this forum have 2 reservations while only expecting to convert one. I think Ford seeing a lower conversion rate than their plan will relieve a lot of stress in this thread.

I HOPE FORD IS READING THESE COMMENTS. I am a loyal FORD Customer....probably have owned 8-10 Ford's. I am really looking forward to getting my Bronco and will probably wait....BUT for how long???!!! This roll out has not been very smooth and is causing undue stress on Reservation Holders....CUSTOMERS. We Reserve in the first week and pay our reservation fee, wait, deal with unresponsive dealers (I have a good one now), B&P delayed, B&P issues, accessory roll out was weak, order date set, order period delayed, now deliveries delayed, will B&P and accessories be updated in January as promised?, order in January-place $1,000.00 down, some items not available till 2022 model.....now this "allocation" issue comes up. You may be waiting even longer for your Bronco. Now we really have no idea when it will come. This roll out is about as clear as mud. Ford should be doing everything they can even if that means running the factory 24/7. Better communication to the customer would be good too.

Yes, some dealers didn't accept reservations, so they'll get 0 allocation from the reservation side, but will still get their allocation from the share of nation and competitive sales portion of the allocation formula. There won't be many dealers, but there are a few. They'll be allowed to order retail (sold) Broncos with these, but won't be allowed stock.
Thanks- So if a dealer could have “ extra “ allocations could they trade or sell it to other dealers? Could they offer it to the public? @Gloff @XCR440

...and the big dealers will most likely have the most reservations and get a big chunk of the pie. My dealer is directly across the street from the biggest Jeep dealer in the area and has multiple locations in the USA all of which are high volume. I'll put my money on a dealer that's been selling Fords since the 1920's and sells thousands a year across the country. I have owned several dealerships and been involved in allocations for over 40 years. It also helps the my reservation is #3043.

Just got this from Ford...

Hello,

We know you are excited to get your new Ford Bronco™, and we are committed to delivering a high‑quality product as soon as we can.

As a result of the unprecedented effects of the COVID‑19 pandemic on our suppliers, we have updated timing news to share with you.

While we originally communicated that your Ford Dealer would begin reaching out in December to schedule an order consultation and place your order, this process will now begin in mid‑January and extend through mid‑March. As a reminder, your order cannot be placed online; however, you are encouraged to spec your Bronco using the For‌d‌.‌co‌m Build & Price tool ahead of your dealer consultation and save a copy to help when you place your order.

Your reservation* timestamp, and not the date that you place your order with your dealer, will be used to determine when your Bronco gets produced. Other factors for final delivery timing include vehicle model and configuration selected, part constraints, and the number of Bronco vehicles your dealer will receive.

In May 2021, once we review all submitted orders and can forecast production, we will provide you with an estimated window of when you can expect to take delivery of your Bronco. Initial customer deliveries are now expected to begin in summer 2021. Given demand, we anticipate deliveries to continue through the 2022 calendar year, with some customers getting a 2022 model‑year Bronco.

As part of your upcoming owner experience, you will have the opportunity to participate in our FordPass™ Rewards loyalty program. At your time of delivery, you will earn 42,000 FordPass Rewards Points (over $200 value) to use toward maintenance, service, accessories and much more at your local Ford Dealer. As a thank‑you for your patience and interest in Bronco, we are adding an additional 20,000 FordPass Rewards Points when you take delivery of your Ford Bronco. That’s 62,000 FordPass Rewards Points (over $300 value) to use toward accessories, maintenance and service at your local Ford Dealer.** We will share more regarding FordPass Rewards and its benefits as you get closer to taking delivery of your Ford Bronco.

If you have any questions, please contact your Ford Dealer. You can also contact Ford Motor Company’s Marketing Program Headquarters at 80‌0‑33‌4‑‌43‌75 or view our FAQs here.

Sincerely,

The Ford Bronco Team

I mean, that's cool and all... but my reservation is #3042, my dealer is literally inside the lobby of Ford corporate headquarters, and my dad is former United States President Gerald R Ford.

I guess I win.

I don't know how Ford plans to handle that situation.
Basically, they could have people order on the spot and get their vehicle well before someone with a July reservation.

Do you anticipate a higher msrp for 2022 MY?

Good point. If we get shoved to MY2022, are we going to end up paying more?! Ford should lock in the 2021 MSRP for reservation holders that expected a 2021.
