I have some side steps attached to the running boards that I have to step up on to do it on my 4 door sas. I'm not too short of a person either (just under 6 foot).

yeah 4 door would be fine, but not enough rail space to get myself back by the backside of the hard top panels and secure them into the clamps...
I will probably just stick with my sunrider which is so much easier...
Yah, not sure how it would on the 2 door. Maybe you actually can get to them pretty easily from the rear with the tailgate open?
possibly, but the last time i tried to climb up from the back on that minimalistic plastic bumper things didn't go well...

It is the transfer from lifting up to lowering that is the biggest issue.

agreed... from a storage standpoint it is compelling as it would eliminate the storage of my hard top panels during the summer and the sunrider during the winter. But the actual process or opening and closing as well as having something permanently stuck to the MIC hard top are giving me pause...

I have this entire setup on my 4 door and I love it. I also bought their jack system for removing my hard top shell. I flip the front panels back, slide the middle and front pieces onto the rack and then lift the entire stacked set up with the jack system. Then I just drive on out of my garage topless. Takes a few mins.
