I'm still not a fan of maxl. I think it's no different than any other spray on detailer. Yeah, it looks good and seems clean and whatnot, but any water on it and you need to reapply. Where a wax once or twice a month does so much better and looks better IMHO. This stuff is snake oil to me.

First off, your Bronco is stunning! Such a captivating red…especially when it’s so clean and shiny.

I’ve had my eye on this product for a bit, honestly, because the internet spies have decided I must “need” it and keep pushing it my way every time I get online.

What makes the process such a PITA? The ads (misleading, of course) make it look so simple: just spray and wipe.

Just my opinion - first application is the hardest because you want to make sure you get good, even, coverage and all the bends and curves. I keep my “product on” and “product off” microfiber towels separate. The “product on” towel never really dries out. When I want to do a quick buff, grab the product on, give it a few squirts from the bottle to moisten it up, 15-20 minutes (not including the top) to apply, then another 10 minutes to polish it up and done.

Some of the ads say you don’t have to wash it first but I would NEVER do that. Quick trip through the local touch free car wash first, then squirt, squirt, buff, buff and I’m fat and happy.

MaxLone is good stuff but for those thinking about using it. My only advise is don't use a lot. A little goes a long way and if you use too much its such a pain

That’s ok too. Please take this in the light hearted way it is intended. I’ve known me 64 years. I hate waxing. I have neither the equipment nor the dedication to wax a vehicle and therefore would end up doing a half-assed job. I could/would pay someone to do it but I do find a greater appreciation and satisfaction of doing it this way. In the end, we both have something we take great pride in no matter how we got there.

The product was snake oil to me for about a year, then read a few reviews of respected YouTubers (Truck Forums), I thought I'd give it a try. I was impressed!

I've used both products: MaxlOne and MaxEasy. MaxEasy is same product, contains the Trephine Coating without the "cleaning" agent. I prefer to wash my vehicles by hand, normally with a Foam cannon and conditioning soap, then fully rinse... followup with MaxEasy mist each panel and 2nd rinse, causing the Trephine to spread and attach. After blowing dry, I'll mist the panels and wipe/buff to obtain a nice glossy coat. The Trephine Coating Hydrophobics almost identical to Ceramics.

I've Polished and applied a few different brands of High End Ceramics... due to polishing & paint prep, the ceramic will produce a higher deeper longer lasting gloss. A lot of that gloss is the paint prep polishing. High End Ceramics claim 2-6 yrs protection, although I feel their shine decreases after 12-18 months. MaxEasy / MaxlOne Trephine is rated to retain up to 10 power washes... although I find a misting after each wash works best.

In comparison; Wax & Ceramic are both long projects. Ceramic is detailed cautious effort & long hours to apply Ceramic... the MaxEasy is basically just wipe drying your vehicle and produces a glossy finish close to several hours of ceramic prep and apply. It adds maybe 30 minutes to a detailed Car Wash routine.

In addition, All High End Ceramics sell a conditioner/renewer spray to apply on top of Ceramic.
I've found the MaxEasy to be an ideal Ceramic top coat after washing.

It is almost that easy and after you have used it a few time ,if you are just taking of dust and bugs you can just spray the microfiber cloth that comes with every order and wipe the vehicle down

On to another topic. I found out (the hard way) that Weathertech does not make mud flaps for this particular vehicle. I'd like to think I did everything I could BEFORE I ordered them. I reached out to customer service as their website makes no reference that I could find to "60th Anniversary Edition". I'm fairly sure I was communicating with a chat bot. Either that or an extremely useless representative. The reply to my inquiry basically said enter your vehicle information and "drill down" to what you need. A follow up e-mail to them pointed me to the disclaimer that the flaps will not fit the Heritage Edition. I was not aware that the 60th Anniversary Edition was a Heritage Edition.

After a little more research, I've found that Mabett makes a set that is the "best bet" for this vehicle. The install is a bit more complicated and I'm not sure I want to dive that deep into the project.

Be happy you didn’t order them. First off the ‘drill-less’ fit claim is a total lie. You need to drill to fit. Frankly it is bizarre that they claim that. And the front set that I received look like they were made for a totally different vehicle - just don’t fit.
