I've noticed that my engine bay gets extremely hot out on the trail. I got a pretty nice burn on my hand from my ARB air compressor. I was attaching the air hose when my hand brush up against the braded hose from the compressor to the manifold. I know the compressor gets hot when used, but I hadn't used it yet. Since then I've been interested in getting a vented hood for the Bronco.

Ha! Now you see why I kept popping my hood every time we stopped.
Im currently working on, as of this morning, removing the hood and liner, and running my own thermal / dampening layers to mitigate those issues; trying to figure out best layout for heat extractors.

My 2012 Raptor has tiny holes in the hood, I ended up dremeling those out and it worked great. Might just borrow those and cut some matching holes for them.

Aftermarket skids will block a lot of convection and pressure airflow....

I figured you had accidentally 'Quoted' my reply. Its fine.

Simple solution: remove skid plates [Also General Advice]
