Ford Kept My 2025 Bronco Raptor for 6 Weeks to Fix a Roof Leak… This Was Day 1 After Repair

Looking for feedback from other Bronco owners.


My 2025 Bronco Raptor first developed a roof leak around 3,000 miles. After multiple visits and video evidence, Ford eventually replaced the front header seal and kept the vehicle for approximately six weeks.


This short clip shows what happened the first day after I got it back.


Water is still entering through the roof/header area and making its way into the cabin.

Has anyone experienced a leak that continued after a header seal replacement? If so, what was the actual fix?

Okay, input: I have a 2DR Badlands, 2025, MIC roof (not painted). I live in Utah where it doesn’t rain much, but in 15 months I’ve gone thru several driving rain storms, of +30 minute duration, which was a lot more water than your hose. I hand wash it, not very often, but when I do it’s with a full on power washer. Took me 40 minutes to blast all the hard mud off last time. I can’t say I TRY to blast water into the roof seams, but I have, trying to clear out muck. I have a marine-grade vinyl interior and washout floors, so never really worry about a little bit of water.

But, I’ve NEVER EVER seen water inside. Doesn’t happen. No running water down A-pillars, no drops on the dash or seats, nada. So my vote = not normal. How would you drive thru a 2-hour rainstorm? You’d have water pooling around your ankles!

No new vehicle regardless of make should have water leaking into the interior.

I had a similar leak on the right side from when my 2dr 2023 was new. They replaced the seals along the top (and the rear window seals, unrelated but also leaking) and it hasn't come back. My assumption is this is the same as yours.

I would take it back BUT tell them to call you when the parts come in. I refused to just park it in the parking lot during hail season and wait 4-6 weeks for parts to come in. I was like, are you serious? No! Then I had to call them to follow-up. It took about 4 1/2 weeks for parts, then they had it for two days for replacement.

Good service writers don't jerk you around, though. I had a great one (not the guy above, he was a kinda cocky young guy), then he died suddenly. The new guy seems decent. You might ask around and see if you can get a reference for one of the better ones, usually the older guys that have been around.

Wow. I have a '23 4 dr. Soft top. Never leaks a drop on the road or during a wash. I'd bet a warped roof panel or similar given they replaced the header seal.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. That’s actually really helpful to hear because it’s exactly the kind of comparison I was looking for. Mine is doing the opposite of what you’ve described. It has leaked during natural rainstorms and during controlled hose testing, and after the front header seal was replaced under warranty, it started leaking again immediately after I got it back from a six-week stay at the dealership.


Hearing from owners like you who have driven through heavy rain and even pressure washed their Broncos without any water intrusion reinforces that this isn’t normal behavior. I’m hoping the Ford roof specialist can identify the actual root cause. I’ll definitely update this thread with whatever they find so it can help other owners.

I completely agree. That’s what has made this so frustrating. I expected a repair after the first documented issue, but after multiple visits, a six-week stay at the dealership, and a front header seal replacement, it’s still leaking into the cabin. I’m hopeful the Ford roof specialist can identify the root cause. I’ll be sure to update this thread with whatever they find so it may help anyone else who experiences something similar.

The dealership already replaced my front header seal after keeping the Bronco for approximately six weeks, but it started leaking again immediately after I got it back.


At this point, they’re coordinating with a Ford roof specialist, so I’m hoping they take a deeper look at the entire roof system rather than just replacing the same seal again. I’ll definitely update this thread with whatever they find. Hopefully it ends up helping anyone else who runs into this issue.

Sorry, I should've included both the front and back leaked with just a hose along the seals.
