Only thing that might throw off the calculation would be supports if necessary (not sure if factored into your count or not).

I managed to lay out the parts that the only thing that needed any extra support during printing was the lower pocket. All the rest were able to be printed in place without any help
To be honest I just slapped it into Bambu Studio and sliced all plates. Normally I would mess around and flip objects if it's beneficial. So the 450g it returned seemed like a pretty good baseline.

In the past I looked into adding color to the name & logo, but that returned quite a bit of waste.

Created the steering rack bushings for the Hoss 2.0 rack. I am going to be working on these to see if I can design them in a way to be able to slide these in without having to take the tie rod ends off.

Probably one of these types of filament - nylon, polycarbonate, nylon blend or polycarbonate blend. I'll have to see what works best.

Do you have the ability to print POM?

Ok. I installed these door pockets but after printing and starting the installing them. I found out that I needed the net style pockets so I could cut the netting out and keep the outer portion of the plastic. Does anyone know if there is a 3d print file of that outer boundary portion?

Are you talking the front door pockets that I designed? I designed them so nothing needs cut. You should just take the 6 screws out keep the outer frame remove the net section (no cutting so it can be put back if desired) put the door pockets in and use the outer frame and 6 bolts to reattach it.

correct except my bronco did not have the net pocket. I had hard pockets and when I take those off there is nothing to cover the new pockets and there are a bunch of factory holes that need to get covered. LOL

That's an interesting theory. I had thought about something along those lines but never modeled that either. Didn't want to take away from the wide angle lens, but wouldn't hurt to 3D print something and see how well it works.

Unless someone has access to some sort of equipment that could show exactly where the water is being sucked back in to that area.

95% of the time, it's a non-issue. But when the roads are wet, it becomes annoying.
I'm late to this thread, but been doing to design work for my Bronco and was scrolling through this thread.

I implemented a version of what you are talking about on the stock reverse camera and stock tire carrier. As you have a custom bracket, doing sensor clearing on your camera should be even easier.

Here is some pictures of what I have done and a test video on one of the rare days we had rain in California in May. As you can see there is a spool up time period.

In addition to the rear camera blower project above, I also did two more projects that are more 3D printer heavy.

  1. Parking/Blindspot Mirror
I adapted a blindspot mirror from Amazon and attached it to the trail sight of the Ford Bronco. Makerworld files are here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2957795-blindspot-parking-mirror-for-ford-bronco

  2. UV-5R Mount to Center Console
I adapted someone else's mount to the center console and adding a UV-5R adapter so it can be easily accessible and able to be charged while driving. Makerworld files are here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2957787-gmrs-uv-5r-radio-holder-for-ford-bronco

A bunch of cool stuff here.
I have a Bambu lab P1S and no experience in designing prints. Just usually print stuff off makerworld or the Bambu lab site.
I have an image I would like to convert to a fender badge.
Any guidance on getting it from a jpeg to a 3d file for printing?

I am only familiar with Solidworks and there is a function for that: https://help.solidworks.com/2023/english/solidworks/sldworks/c_Sketch_Picture.htm

I haven't had much luck with autotrace, so I usually do splines instead.

So that works really well. Inside the box are your running pc fans with a rubber hose out the bottom? I never thought to put something inside there as a while back I had a plan to mount my twin compressor inside there (ended up on molle panel on swing gate).

I should definitely look into that. Thanks for this post!
