A fellow member and I are planning a trip to Uwharrie National Forest located in North Carolina. We have set a date for May 16th, in between Mother's Day and Memorial Day weekends. We would like to extend the invitation to other members on the forum.

Beginners to experienced drivers are more than welcome to join us. We are planning to run the following trails in order. This could also change based on recommendations.

Wolfden
Lakeview
Falls Damn
Rocky Mount Loop
Sawmill
Slab Pile
Dutch John (optional)

We ran all but Falls Damn and Duch John in two stock SAS Broncos last weekend. We ran out of time to run Falls Damn and I am waiting for my rock sliders to arrive before attempting Dutch John. Fingers crossed they arrive in time for the trip. We both kissed our skid plates a couple of times and my OBX side steps identified as rock sliders once.

You can find videos of all of the trails on YouTube if you want to know what they are like.

Anyone interested?

Im down; I'll also ask my father in law if hes interested.
We've ran UWH several times.

I've also done Dutch Jon & Dicky Bell. Little more challenging on the exit side, but with a spotter & some good experience, it's not awful; but it does get the heart (and brakes) pumping.

I’d love to join y’all, but I’m already registered for the OBX Bronco Beach Bash that weekend.

Sounds like fun. I’ve been wanting to head over to uwharrie, but have limited off-road experience, so this might be a good opportunity for me. Got a ‘25 Heritage.

This is beginner friendly. It will provide a great opportunity for you to get to know the capabilities of your Bronco and have fun.

We sure did!

If you end up changing the date I’m in! I’ve been wanting to hit these trails too but the Beach Bash is a lot of fun!

I'm in. You don't need rock sliders for Dutch John, FWIW. I'd also recommend climbing the back side of Daniel - but would recommend some skid protection before doing it.

Thanks! Happy to lead the crew through Dutch John! You’ll love it. If you’re new, that trail will show you what your Bronco is capable of and will be an eye opener.

Talked to my wife, and we are in as well. Also, do have the full OEM skid plates vs just the ones that normally come on the Heritage.

Damn! That is a day I can’t finagle out of a commitment, but I try to get to Uwharrie several times a year, we should plan a trip in June if possible.

I'm up for one in June as well. I won't be able to on the 27th though (wife's birthday). The rest of the month is relatively open. I bought the season pass so I want to go as much as possible.

I signed up for the Tennessee Off Rodeo on August 8th. A fellow member and I are going hit Hurricane Creek, Buzzard Roost, and the Goat Trail on the way there. On the way back we are going to hit Old NC 105 and Brown Mountain.

I could be wrong, but I believe Hurricane Creek and BR/Goat Trail are closed. Brown Mountain is a fun trail, though.

You are correct, I just confirmed it via On X.

I can't believe that I missed that. I've been planning this trip for a little over two weeks now.

Put it in your back pocket for another day (hopefully Hurricane Creek comes back, not super confident it will0. Check out Shad Road and Horse Creek instead.
