2023 SAS Collar Lift Comparison

I just put the JCR winch plate on as well as a badlands 12 K winch on and the front end is sagging about 7/8 lower than it was previously and that is not gonna work for me.


I know there’s some threads discussing lift kits and what not, but I wanted to get right down to the point and see if anybody’s got real world experience with the similar front weight edition and the RPG collar lift versus the wild horse bronco color kit. Right out the gate the RPG color kit is about an inch higher, which I would be fine with, but I’m wondering if anybody’s got any experience with either or both?

Mine is the gray one and the white one next to it is a stock wild track.

I have a wildtrak, but just installed the 2.25" RPG perch collars on the front and 3" on the rear.

Factory heights to the fender were 38.75 in the front and 39.5 in the rear.

Between skid plates, bumper, winch, rock sliders, and a storage drawer I made for recovery gear, I added 200 lbs to the front axle and 300 lbs to the rear axles.

This weight brought my heights down to 37.75" in the front and 38.25" in the rear.

After adding the perch collars, I'm sitting at 39.5 in the front and 40.5 in the rear.

This is with weight, but no perch collars:

I don't have a good profile shot, because I just finished the install today, but this is how it's sitting now:

Good to know. I went with the 1.5 wildhorse collars because I don’t like the idea of pre loading a ton, but was fine with 1.5”.

I should say how’s the ride with compressing them that much? It’s really not too late for me to cancel since I just made my order today.

Ride quality seems much better from the little bit of driving I did today. I think with the lost height from the added weight, I was sitting pretty close to the bottom of the bypass zone on the fox shocks. That meant on small bumps I was very quickly into the stiffer portion of the shocks. With the perch spacers, I'm about 1" taller than stock, and seem to be more in the sweet zone for the shocks now.

Edit to say, the 2.25" lift perch spacer is only about 1.4" thick, and the 3" lift spacer is about 1.9" thick. The quoted lift amounts take into account the shock placement on the a-arms. You don't get as much lift in the rear (~2" lift with 3" 'lift' spacer).

Nice! I have the yellow bilsteins with my badlands and these collars should suffice until a full coil over lift. I with I had the HOSS though.
I requested Wild Horse to cancel. I think it won’t be level to my liking with the 1.5 and will need the RPG 2.5

So I’ve got the wheels and everything pulled off and I’ve got a local shop going to compress all 4 and put the collars in for 175 bucks which in my opinion is pretty good.

The question I have for guys that have installed this is, this kit says it’s a 2.25” front and 1.5” lift in the rear. Well, the actual lift of the collars that I received from them measures 15/16 on the front and 3/4 of an inch on the rear. The picture that I just attached shows their kit that I ordered and it clearly is what appears to be 2.25 for the front and 1.5 for the rear. I called RPG yesterday and explained to them that they measure out as such and they assured me that it is the new collar that they run and that it will lift it 2.25 in the front and 1.5 in the rear.
I pulled up a video of another guy on YouTube that installed these on his Bronco and they are clearly larger than the ones I have and his is a 2021 and the listing for these say they’re for a 2021 to 2026.
I’m wondering if I got misled by RPG and the individual I talked to didn’t know what they were talking about.

No noticeable difference actually. The local shop I like did the alignment and casters only at 2.5 and should be 2.8-3.5 I believe. Drives okay, but I’ll have them put on SPC UCA’s for better highway manners and tire life.
