Anyone with experience with the ssc2 2.0 diode dynamic lights?

@4x4TruckLEDs.com I think I decided on doing the s3pro in a combo and the s2pro in the yellow fog to start with. If the s2 in the pro doesn’t wind up being bright enough I have something else I can use that for and just upgrade to a max later.

as far as using a different lens on them the only thing that would need to be purchased to swap out would be the lens itself is that correct?

so with the ssc2 2.0 you can change the lenses and colors any time you want - you can go with the setup now and layer change the lenses to say a white driving if you wanted as an example

ss3 can also be changed you just can’t change colors is all

@4x4TruckLEDs.com Received my order yesterday. Everything was well packaged. Great wiring harness.

instructions were very nice. Really loved the included sheets for the switch wiring and amperage cheat sheet. Was nice not having to look to look it up.

Still need to fine tune the aiming. Really tricky trying to get an Allen wrench in there to tighten them down after getting the angle I think is my only “complaint” don’t know if there’s a trick to it I’m somehow missing.

Really pleased with how they look and very happy I want with the MAX for the ssc2.

Yeah it's actually easier then you think. Just tighten the lights up on the bracket. When tight you should still be able to MOVE them a bit up/down by pushing on the light. It should not be EASY but not HARD either. There is a sweet spot. Basically you want the lights tight on the bracket so that they are not easily moved up/down but if you PUSH on them (we use two hands, one hand pushing the bottom from the front and one hand pulling it UP from the rear) you're good.

That's how we do them in the shop. Because there's ho way to really leave them loose and tighten them up once installed on the bracket.

Once you do that, you'll be like "ohh this is so much easier"

Got it! Well easy enough to pull them off to do that. At some point I wanna find a better route for the harness between the lights. Right now I just have it ran above the bash plate just to get it all ran and tested.

quick question as I was just looking over the setup, The lens on the ss3 looks like the flood one rather than the combo, the box definitly says combo. But the combo picture I’ve seen on like the top vs bottom of the lens looks quite difference. Can you help confirm this looks right.

edit - the combo lens has been updated and now looks similar to the fog but I did test it against a flat surface last night and it has the bright circles in the middle like DDs website shows in the videos.

I am in the process of installing SSC2 Sport fogs and SS3 Sport combo lights that I purchased last November. I should finish it up today.

I was a little confused about flipping the lenses. I ended up flipping the SS3 lenses because the lens pattern was different from top and bottom. Did I make a mistake? I did remove the tabs so the lenses sit flush.

I also want to find a way to have the combo lights come on when I turn the brights on.

I was a little confused about flipping the lenses. I ended up flipping the SS3 lenses because the lens pattern was different from top and bottom. Did I make a mistake? I did remove the tabs so the lenses sit flush.

I also want to find a way to have the combo lights come on when I turn the brights on.

I just flipped the whole light in the bracket rather than flipping the lens… seemed to work fine.

if you want to have the light come on with the brights u would have to tap the power wire into your high beam wire rather than an aux switch.

You don't need to flip any lenses from us if you have SS3 and SSC2 2.0. Because the SS3 and SSC2 2.0 mount from the CENTER and can be hung upside down.

Baja Designs lenses and SSC2 1.0 need to be flipped.

I think you may be right about tapping into the high beam power. However, with all the complex monitoring our Broncos do it might set off a cascade of problems. I have done similar things on older vehicle but messing with the electrical system on these new vehicles scare me. I also want to be able to shut the combo light off for conditions were it may not be appropriate. I think controlling a relay with an AUX switch may allow me to shut off the Combo lights if I can use power from the high beams.

you don’t need to flip the light… the brackets mount to the center and can allow the light to hang…

I think I have SSC2 1.0 fog lights. Nothing on the boxes indicate they are the 2.0 version. What are the negative results if I don't have the lenses flipped? I have everything installed now and prefer not to take it apart and reassemble.
