If Ford kills the 2-door what would they use in their ads?! Hell, they even made a 2-door concept Raptor last year. They know the sexy PR value of a trail machine even tho most buyers want a station wagon.

The Ranger of today is more like the F150 of 25 years ago. A small truck is needed, especially one with a manual tranny...I think Ford is smart enough not to compete with their own products.... ie. Ranger/F150.
Yup I keep saying, if they put the bronco 7 speed in the Ranger and keep the 7k tow rating I’ll fighting people to get the first one off the line and trade my f150 in for it. Otherwise that truck is going to be replaced with a used f150 or some used ev truck depending on how many more years I get out of it.The Ranger of today is more like the F150 of 25 years ago. Probably more accurately, a 4 door jeep is what their wives want and a 4 door bronco is what their husbands bought for them because they didn’t want to deal with Fixing a heep.2 door is the Bronco they want, 4 door is the Bronco their wives allow them to purchase.
lol you know, you might be on to something there!Probably more accurately, a 4 door jeep is what their wives want and a 4 door bronco is what their husbands bought for them because they didn’t want to deal with Fixing a heep.
This means I like what my 2DR says about my relationship.2 door is the Bronco they want, 4 door is the Bronco their wives allow them to purchase.
Or what we USED to call...a station wagon.(Volvo SUV 5-door).
Stationwagons were always cars. The bigger wagons like wagoneers and cherokees, I always just thought of them as jeeps or suburbans. Mentally, I never connected them as anything else or heard them called anything else.Or what we USED to call...a station wagon.
Cannot even fathom of calling the Suburbans of the 70s/80s an SUV - customers would have been 'da fu...?' as they headed for sanity elsewhere...
I lucked out, the wife wouldn't let the 4 door in the family.2 door is the Bronco they want, 4 door is the Bronco their wives allow them to purchase.
When I was a kid, my aunt and uncle had a mid-'70s Suburban, a lovely sea foam green with fake wood down the sides. It was affectionately known as The Bus. Which it was, not an SUV.Or what we USED to call...a station wagon.

What? No love for the AMC Eagle...a factory 4x4 wagon...Stationwagons were always cars. The bigger wagons like wagoneers and cherokees, I always just thought of them as jeeps or suburbans. Mentally, I never connected them as anything else or heard them called anything else.
I see 4 doors. Zero love. In high school, I had a 72 Wagoneer. 4 door, with a rare manual. I loved the engine and the 4 speed, and wanted to swap them into a Cherokee, so I could really love the vehicle. It's either two doors or too many. What? No love for the AMC Eagle...a factory 4x4 wagon...![]()
