Be grateful that you never had to execute a return/refund. Despite the calendar showing 2026, their system is still stuck in Y2K.
My last orders with Ford:

Ford: Don’t worry, we haven’t charged your card for this order.
.
My bank statement: Refund pending from Ford Accessories for the exact amount of cancelled item with tax.

It is common that it can take 30-45 days for refund especially if people pay with points. Their eCommerce experience is really abysmal. When it works as expected, it is great. The slightest issue, and it's like pulling teeth.

I would not be surprised if this was not a Ford marketing blunder from the very beginning. Ford marketing realizing that it had excess inventory of the exhaust - so initially pricing it to sell. Then the top exec discovering this was not a smart thing to do - given the loss of profit from sales of the exhaust at full price - so marketing was told to pull the plug.

You're reading too much into it. If the normal retail is $1200'ish, then their cost is at least half that. This liquidation of the chrome tipped version was likely only to move inventory as they won't carry the chrome tips version again. Seeing as only those who were born before 1970 want chrome tips, their buyer demographic is shrinking everyday.

Ford losing a few hundred dollars for each sale isn't even a tick on their behind. The simple answer is that their front end has no idea of the back end inventory. If they only had 100 on-hand, that quantity is gone in 10 minutes as the sale spreads by word of mouth. Posting on forums is akin to shouting the sale into a megaphone. People attempting to buy days after the sale was posted wasn't going to end in their favor.

Don't you bring that logic in here! This is a "dog pile on Ford" thread now...

Disagree...I doubt there was mal-intent. I suspect that it WAS closeout stock and they got overwhelmed, especially with a holiday uptick that is bound to occur.

I ordered the one for the 2.3L and, while it wasn't there on the original date, it was picked up by a family member on the 24th.

I ran the part number from my order and it's no longer there for the 2.3L either. That it's not listed is why I suspect closeout or else we would see the 'notify me' verbiage like with the winch...

Cancelled for me too. Did anyone successfully acquire one?
For the 2.3L, yes...others have gotten their 2.7L version.

With one comment saying the manufacturer was no longer making it, I suspect it was a Borla blowout...

Especially since their It systems probably cost at least a billion. The sale probably wasn't valid in the first place someone's fat finger so they cancel it all.
And yet some got it...

Did anyone receive yet?
Yes. I've already posted in different threads as have some that got the 2.7L version.

I knew it was a smoking deal which was why I had posted it last month. I jumped on when my vehicle hasn't even been built...

Was debating posting this. My card was charged and I got the email telling me to pick up my order at my dealership…

The 2.3l order button disappeared from Ford's web page more than a week ago. Yes it was probably a closeout or overstock item Ford wanted to unload, and maybe Ford doesn't have real time count tracking to immediately shut off all ordering when stock becomes zero. I considered buying weeks ago, but my goal is to relocate the muffler junk away from the tail end, to install a larger under floor storage bin.
