The system isn't set up for efficiency. Each task is considered a separate work order and likely was assigned a different technician for each.Picked up the Bronco this afternoon after the dealer had it for a week to do the shock recall, camera recall and fix the rear window defogger. Are all Ford dealers this slow. They always have an accuse.![]()

Beach_Bum, doesn't part of the shock recall repair involve epoxy? I think my dealer said it had a 24 hour cure time. If they apply that at the end of a day, it might end up being two working days before it is fully cured by the Ford book. The system isn't set up for efficiency. Yes. It is repair or replacement. But my point stands, the dealerships aren't efficient in assigning technicians and use of the schedule. If there was a repair to the shocks, one would think the camera could be worked on or the rear defroster at the same time while the repair to the shocks is curing. But likely, another technician will service the electronics. Vehicle would then be moved to the other technician's bay.Beach_Bum, doesn't part of the shock recall repair involve epoxy? Mine was built in May 2025 but sat on the lot until Jan 2026 when I bought it. Guess manuals just arenβt in demand. I like the shift knob even more than I had expected.β¦ nice. Only other Badlands without the orange accentsβ¦
I had purchased a TS Orange shifter. May have to order a white one.
when was yours built? Me 7/29/25

Do you maybe have part numbers for that? My son's new Badlands didn't come with the orange inserts, either. I haven't asked him and he may not care, but might be nice to have the contrast inside, especially since I installed orange paracord grab handles⦠I think broncos are all sitting on the lot for awhile, days of over MSRP are gone.
Ford announced in end of March 25 they would start building manuals, so both of ours are early. I figured that ford was running short or out of the Badlands orange grab handles and a/c vent tabsβ¦. May have to stop by a dealer and see if they have any with the orange pieces.
The top lift works but itβs definitely not a simple removal with the attic shelf in there.tock13,
I have the Toplift Pro as well and have been holding off on getting the M2M Attic Shelf (which I really want) because I'm not too sure if it will work with the shelf and M2M can't confirm they are compatible. What's your thoughts on how well it works with the Attic shelf installed ? Someone else on here has the shelf and uses the Toplift Pro also and says it doesn't fully get under the top and he has to kinda shimmy it on and off. What's your experience ?
Would be greatly interested in any feedback if you pull the trigger on the E-Z Lift, been thinking of switching over but not too sure it will work with the shelf either.
TIA
β¦ not sure ford is still selling them. May need to get them from a secondaryDo you maybe have part numbers for that? My son's new Badlands didn't come with the orange inserts, either. I do it without help and lower the attic shelf, run the top lift in as far as I can and lift the top a bit, just enough to put some of the tops weight on the toplift. Then you have to scoot the clamshell back onto the toplift all the way.
The clamshell isnβt heavy so scoots pretty easy especially with the sound deadening carpet on the underside. Once itβs centered better on the toplift, I raise it fully and walk it off the bronco.
Itβs not βon man Iβm gonna drop the topβ scary or anything, you just have to now do the removal in a couple more steps. For me, I absolutely love the attic shelf so the extra effort of removal is okay.
Seeing the pic of the EZ4x4 lift, it got me thinking, I got my toplift used from a jeep guy and it came with some support extensions. Maybe those would eliminate the βscootingβ part of the initial lift.
Anyway, long winded rambling way to say that a toplift can work fine with the attic shelf folded down if you take your time to figure out a few extra steps to get the clamshell all on the lift all the way.
Youβll love ate attic. I swap to a soft top in the spring and the only beef I have with the shelf is the little thumbscrews you have to remove to drop the shelf to put the soft top all the way backβ¦.which I do a lot. They are too small to get a good grip on if they get locked in there tight. Easy DIY fix I suppose but itβs faster to just wiggle the support arm till they loosen up.
Ohβ¦I put a bit of fuel line hose on the mount pins where the shelf swivels as spacers to keep side to side movement stopped and put shrink wrap on the pins that lock the shelf in place. I donβt get a peep from the shelf regardless of how bad the roads are.
Iβm gonna need to copy the links for down the road, Iβll never find this post a year from nowβ¦I bought a kit off Amazon. I'll link to it and the rest of the items I bought.
So the axles and the transmission have one size of rubber tubing coming off the nipples, and the transfer case was slightly smaller. I matched the tubing up at Napa. Bought 5 feet of the larger tubing and 2 feet of the smaller tubing. I then had to buy some barb fittings that matched the bigger tubing and some additional air hose fittings. The barb fittings that come with the kit works with the transfer case tubing. The kit only came with two straight air connect fittings so that's why I bought more.
So the lines go like this:
Factory breather nipple -> rubber tubing -> barb fitting -> quick connect air fitting-> airline tubing -> breather vent quick connect fitting.
