Corporate Ford is probably hoping for this. You fix the issue yourself and they get to weasel out of paying for it.I recently replaced my factory Sasquatch Bilsteins with the Wildtrak Fox units.
Stopped by my dealer so they could see that the shocks had been removed.
In and out in a half hour and the recall no longer shows up on my Fordpass app.
Best of luck.
Mine are in great shape, and would have just got the covers put on the reservoirs.Corporate Ford is probably hoping for this. You fix the issue yourself and they get to weasel out of paying for it.
AgreedThe problem is that I really believe it's Ford that's the problem. Not the dealership.
How do you like the FOX Hoss 3.0 shocks?I recently replaced my factory Sasquatch Bilsteins with the Wildtrak Fox units.

LOVE them, total game changer. How do you like the FOX Hoss 3.0 shocks?
But which game does it change? the mall crawl or the stump jump?LOVE them, total game changer.
Both. But which game does it change? the mall crawl or the stump jump?
So slow speed rock crawling is not affected with them and is harsh? That would be consistent with Fox target market.Both.
Improved ride over pavement and more comfortable off, especially if you crank the speed up a bit.
Is that the overhardened valve problem on the 2.7 ? Always wondered about the kevlar belt driving the oil pump on my 2.7... would it deteriorate and plug up oil passages ??? Metal chains also have their drawbacks as well, I am sure. Swapping that belt out probably requires an engine pull. Anyone else have similar concerns, or this not a real issue ?yup and get ready for more let down from Ford.
I just got a recall letter that I may or may not have a cracked engine …I did t know whether to cry or laugh.
