2024 Trailer Tow Kit (New Ford Accessory Part)

I hs the dealer install the hitch in my ‘24 WT when I bought it new last January. I was supposed to pick it up in a Friday, but my sales person called and told me that I had to wait until Monday because they didn’t have a “harness or part if some sort”.

My guess is that it was probably the module.

The trailer icon shows up for me and the trailer light check through the Ford App also works for me.

Sounds like they didn’t do something right.

Just had mine installed today. Ordered from ford accessories with the install. Picked it up after dealer was closed. No “Towing” under features. So they didn’t do the programming huh?

Just got mine back from the dealership today (24 WT with dealer installed oem hitch when purchased). $203 dollar charge and no option within the infotainment pertaining to trailer. Absolutely zero change from prior to dropping it off. They said the Bronco had to have been ordered from Ford with a hitch for it to show up in dash. The lights on my trailer worked as intended when plugged in prior to taking it to the dealership. They said module, “install not complete” Reconfigured, and re-installed module update.
I feel I was completely ripped off!

My 2024 WT did not come from the factory with the hitch. Had them install it before taking delivery and I have the Tow option on the screen.

If your dealer was correct, then I shouldn’t be seeing the Tow option since my WT did not come from the factory with the hitch.

This!!! The hitch became a dealer installed option in 2024. I bought mine with a hitch as part of the vehicle but had to wait for it a few weeks as it was back ordered a bit. There was no charge for the installation or programming.

That thread shows how to install everything for pre 2024 model years. If you have a 24 Bronco, you can just scroll ahead to the changes in Forscan. Mine was a little different because I don't have all the high end features and don't have those modules.

Back at the dealer today. I now have the “towing” screen but all thats under the menu is trailer sway control yes/no. I’m ok with that though, that’s all I really needed.

You absolutely need ONLY one kit.

I ordered the kit above from Fairway Ford. That was the cheapest price I found. You might also be interested in an offical Ford cargo net for $14.63 as well. The kit contains a trailer hitch, the 4pin/7pin socket mount (hooks up to pre-wired cable on 2024MY), the electronics module, and the four large bolts (hitch) and three nuts (module) you'll need to complete the job. After you install these items you'll have a working hitch. If you are not afraid of using FORSCAN it's also pretty easy to make the few changes to have the tow mode show up your features tab. My total cost was $261.03 for the kit, $33.98 for VLINKER FS OBD2 Scanner OBDII plus I went ahead and purchased an annual FORSCAN license for $12 so $307.01 assuming you have a windows laptop you own or can borrow.

What options in forescan did you activate to trigger those features?

I'm salty. I placed my order for the hitch/wiring for my 21 online in September and they just cancelled it without asking me for the hitch assembly itself and installation. I called and they said it's because of backorder. They had still went ahead and shipped the wiring which is pretty useless without the hitch. Do they just not manufacture the hitch for 21-24 anymore? Does anyone know what they intend to do going forward?

Also it's still available for sale on the website!! The thing they say they we can't order? What's going on?

They screwed me around for 6 weeks, I got tired of it and they finally canceled my order. I ordered this one last night and they shipped it this morning !!

Where did you get a module? I've installed aftermarket everything else so I can carry a bike rack, but the turn signals and brake lights don't work.
