PPF protection on which parts

Hi,

I would like to install some PPF protection on my new bronco because we have a lots of stones in our road and after the winter it is a nightmare…

I received this quote for PPF, what do you rhink
About it and what are your advices:

Upper Bumper Lip - $150

¼ Hood - $300

¼ Fenders - $150

Door Cups - $30 Each

Door Edges - $30 Each

Above Windshield - $140

A Pillars - $75 each

Side of vehicle (from bodyline down as per your photo reference) - $350 per side.

I have a Badlands Sasquatch, and I had them do:

- Grille
- Partial hood
- All four doors

I did the grille because I commute, and the same for the partial hood.

I did all four doors because on a typically commute, I might do up to seven miles of gravel, and for the entirety of that segment, plus up to 20 miles afterwards, gravel is going places beyond my control.

Plus people in parking lots are morons.

I forget how much mine cost, but it wasn't cheap. I would suggest you find out where your dealer sends people -- or perhaps even find a nicer brand than Ford and find out where they send their customers.

Do not get it done at a dealer.

I did a “bra” kit. Leading edges on the front which includes about 12” of the hood, plus the rocker panels. Would have done more if I could have afforded it. The rocker panel protection saved me from major scratches when I was reinstalling the doors for the first time, so I think it paid for itself.

I did everything except for rear door and hard top. Peace of mind for trails.

I’ve got more rock dings on my a pillars than anywhere else. But the scratches - all the way down and every piece of plastic trim…

I had a full body (minus the roof) PPF done on my Bronco, including the grille and headlights. I had the advantage of getting it for cost with no labor charge, so I only paid about $900. A full body wrap on a Bronco can go for about $4K depending on the film they uese. The company I work for has a professional shop that has wrapped Lambos, McLarens, Bugattis and other exotics. You obviously only have to protect the most vulnerable areas (grille, hood, fenders and rocker panels). Areas like the tailgate aren't as important but given the deal I got I had the whole vehicle wrapped for uniformity. The film they use also has ceramic impregnated into it, so it helps repel dirt.

My only suggestion is when doing a panel, like the hood, do the complete panel so that they can wrap the film around the edges of the panel so that the seams aren't exposed and you don't see them. Over time the edges may catch dirt and become even more visible.

I did full expel ultimate PPF. full sides (fenders, doors, cups, gas filler cover), a-piller and above windshield. Did not do the back except for the cup. did not do the front as I have a wildtrak and theres too many "holes", but the lip under the grill has PPF. The hood does not BC of the Wildtrak matte graphic. I had local dealer install. $2600 included tinting of the front windows. Saved from many trail branches from all over. The xpel is self healing - put it in the sun and it gets rid of the pinstripping. plus I ceramic coated on top of that so nothing stays stuck to it. easy to wash off.

can't see anything, and that's the point... after PPF.

Yeah, I probably should've done the trimming, but I didn't wanna deal with an extra lip there, I have the front ford aero lip so that helps... but not with branches

Ah! Gotcha. Yeah, mine are covered then since they took the door handles off when they did the doors.

Same. Mine have a horizontal seam under the handle.

I did full (minus roof, grill and mirrors) Expel Fusion PPF. It was a great decision and totally worth the $$. It makes cleaning the truck so easy and it polishes up so nice!! You also have to pair good mud flaps with it. As we all know if you hit any gravel that crap flies everywhere. Rokblokz for win!

I might have missed it, but has anyone done a glossy black top? I assumed PPF would be hard or impossible on my old Grey MIC top, but now I have a glossy black top. I am getting my 2024 Wildtrak done in two weeks and this is one of the unresolved points. There aren't many Glossy painted tops around so he hasn't done one before. I am thinking it should be ok. He wants to see it in person.

Any opinions on Covrgard PPF? My friend had his done on his eruption green mustang and it looks pretty awesome to me in person.
