What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

You are probably right that there is something wrong with it.

...
Switching back and frot between a Z car and a XTerra both Nissans I have to sync my mind to the stick, clutch, and when to shift.
I get it about different cars and all that. I swap cars all the time. This gate issue is unrealted to any of that other timing and feel stuff. I can get by going from 1st to 2nd straight down with zero leftward pressure or even a tinge to the right - getting used to that. Going from 3rd to 2nd is much more difficult to master.
Heck - I had a porsche club racing license for several years and had the class lap record at Road Atlanta for a quite a while. Reminds me that I forgot the 944 on my list, but also had both 911s on many tracks. You don't turn fast laps without knowing how to shift.

I ordered my 2024 Big Bend in December 2023 and picked it up in April 2024. I traded in my 2dr Wrangler JK and I am thrilled with Ol' Red. I bought a 4 door because I love my family and got tired of jamming them into the back seat. I'm close to retiring and plan to spend more time with the grandkids. That said, the 4dr is too long for my garage. Maybe the best part about the Wrangler is that it fit!

I added an aftermarket plug-in cord and the auto stop thing is no longer an issue. The default is now OFF, and it was a super easy install.

I took off the top in mid-June and I get compliments everywhere. Sure, plenty of old guys, but the chicks dig it too, young and old. It's RED, and there aren't many around where I live, so it stands out.

I have other minor issues off and on, but it's the best SUV of the six I've owned over the years.

I’d like a/c in the cargo area for my dogs, and cup holders for the back seats.
I've seen several posts about the wish for cupholders in the back and it made me wonder as I thought I had them.

Sure enough, when I lowered the backseat armrest they are there. Is this only for certain trim levels?

I have a '24 WildTrak.

I hate that selected goat mode settings aren't saved when you shut off the vehicle. I shouldn't have to select sport mode then switch from 4A to 2H every time I startup.

I have a 23 OBX and I don’t recall seeing armrests. Is your armrest in the center?

Yes, in the center and is part of the driver side rear seatback.

looks like there is a thread about it. It sounds like if you didn't have the LUX package you didn't get the rear seat cupholders until 2024.
I have a 2024 Big Bend MGV so I can't attest to previous years or cloth. If it were a simple swap I would be willing to trade as we are likely to almost never have rear seat human passengers and they will likely never have a beverage.

OMG! There they are! I obviously haven’t looked too closely at the back seat.

For the price of the upper levels it would be nice to have the speed sign recognition ACC.

2 things I HATE:

Rain sensing wipers. They're always either too fast or too slow. They'll start out at the correct speed and then slow down causing me to adjust the switch again. Just give me the normal speed selector.

No physical "home" button for the radio interface. If I want to listen to the radio I get in my car and Android Auto immediately pops up and I have to hit the apps button, hit the Ford Sync button, hit the audio button, then hit the FM button. Not to mention the lag in between all those button presses. In my Malibu it's two button presses: The physical "home" button then the "radio" button. (If there's a quicker secret button please let me know)
Not sure if anyone has responded, but there is a setting in Android Auto that you can switch on or off to not have it resume playing from your phone automatically when you start the audio.
Settings
Connections
Android Auto (at bottom)
Start music automatically - toggle off

When you start the Bronco, there is a message in the gauge display to resume Sport mode (goes away after about 10 seconds) - just click the yes and you're all set.

I am aware. I select it every time I start up. It still doesn't affect the automatic default of 4A.

Maybe you can spend some time back there with a few of the old dudes that compliment your Bronco. Guys dig chicks in trucks. It's a girl, my Lord, in a flat bed Ford slowin' down to take a look at me....
