When my 2.7 eventually passes due to natural causes, I would consider doing this engine swap.
Thats the whole point, now we have two NA options that dont require all that turbo crap (KISS).

If they make it emissions compliant, I'd love to know Ford's actual reasoning for not offering it from factory.

With that said, it's cool but I still don't see the need aside from to appease my caveman V8 noise desires.
Ford didn't do it because it doesn't make sense to put in a heavier engine that makes peak power in higher RPMs in something built to off road and/or mall crawl. The current engines available for the Bronco make better torque where these things need it.

Not only this but every old guy complaining "hurr durr, turbos too complex!" fail to realize that the turbo engines have less moving parts than the coyote. But hey, if this gets them to put up and shut up so we don't have to see the V8 threads and complaints every other day, then I hope for the best for them.

Any videos of the dash with the engine running? I would be really surprised if the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is still functional. Would also like to see some performance numbers.

curious to why you think that since that is tied to the ABS system on the canbus.

there's still going to be those threads/people unfortunately, "i should be able to order it from factory with a V8 grrr" lol. im happy with my 2.3, like i said before i don't see the purpose aside from the v8 noises. the 2.3, 2.7, 3.0 all do what they're meant to just fine.

CAFE standards would be my first guess; have to keep the fleet's average fuel numbers as good as possible.

Doesn't matter for the next 4 years.
"........ enacted on July 4, 2025, eliminated civil penalties for noncompliance with federal fuel economy standards. Specifically, Section 40006 of the Act amends the language of the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) statute to reset the maximum civil penalty to $0.00"

WTF are YOU talking about? The coyote is DOHC as well, with more pistons, valves, etc...
Thats a great argument 4 vs 6 vs 8 🙄. Point is a turbo/turbos config is more parts period.

A turbocharger itself has one moving part, the shaft that the compressor and turbine wheels are mated to. If you want to include the waste gate and a boost controller, that makes three moving parts. That doesn't make for more moving parts than a coyote, nor is it as complicated as you make it out to be.
