What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

Some of you walked right past the Explorers in the Ford showroom.
Sorry, but that's pretty damn funny!!!

There's nothing that I hate about mine, except one thing that I "think" has nothing to do with the Bronco....Keeping the damn tires balanced for 70mph. But, I have BFG's. I had K03's and they would shake so badly I couldn't drive it on the highway. Traded down to trail terrain BFG's (275/65/18) and they are actually quite nice, keeps the white letter look and don't weigh a ton...but again, takes some skill to get it balanced property for the highway. Most recently ditched the dealership and the dedicated tire shop, each with the Hunter Road Force machines and took it to my tried & true mechanic who has worked on our other cars, no fancy balance machines. They nailed it old school style. They also pointed out a shit ton of weights were on there from previous attempt. They stripped the rims clean and started over. But, it doesn't last very long (2 months or so) before I have to take it back. I won't be doing BFG again in the future.

My expectations for the Bronco were not high, I did not expect to be buying a refined luxury ride, but a nice one. I'm happy with it. I did spend a couple grand on the aftermarket tweaks to make the "house" a "home", and that makes all the difference to me.

I'm sure others have experienced this. But I hate the attention it attracts. Living in a beach community and one that prides themself on their physical fitness, I expected more girls to be attracted to my Bronco. Instead, mostly old dudes want to admire the Bronco. 😒
Sad. 😢

Hate Nothing.
Don't like Ass, but easy fix.
Didn't like the window flop. SSM took care of that.
B&O could have been better, but way better than my wife's Jeep.
Parking Brake position is stupid.
Love everything else.

I also don't like the instrument cluster. In this era of being able to change display options we should be able to make it a digital display or a damned analog display for all gauges like God intended!!!! Park brake location sucks. And my biggest bitch is that I should be able to shut the screen off with the power button and not have to browse through menus to get it off. Something like a short press to turn off audio and a long press to shut the screen off. How hard can that be?

I hate it when people buy the Bronco, thinking it is something that it’s not (like a luxury car or a race car), then bash on it.
I like everything about my Bronco, if I want luxury I will get in my wife tahoe.

I hate that my engine esssploded. Other than that i absolutely love this truck, quirks and all. The autostart/stop is super annoying but its an all new car problem. Im getting that thing eliminated as soon as i get it back. Other than that im happy.

Stop crying about people crying about pushing the button. You drive in Sport which requires you to push a button every cycle just to stay in sport. You have to push yet another button if you don't want to drive around in 4A all the time you're in sport. You're just making it a bigger hassle, LOL.

Yeah, here’s my longer take:

I’ve owned luxury cars, I’ve owned work pickups. Ford had a pretty tough job getting the balance right on the Bronco. A lot of the cost has gone into pretty burly components—at least on my BL/SAS/Hoss 3.0. The interior and the tech is still (to me) surprisingly good. It’s comfortable, esp compared to a comparable Jeep. It’s capable. Reliability issues require getting a bit lucky but these odds vary with all automakers (I’ve had a MBZ blow a cylinder at 100K miles—go figure). If there’s something you seriously hate about the Bronco then you might have bought the wrong vehicle. It does what it does, pretty damn well.

I hate that the person who ordered my Bronco didn’t hit the $195 option for upfitter switches. That’s going to be at least $700 to complete after the fact. Getting a great deal on used is a small price to pay though.

The only thing that I "hate" about mine is the clicking sound my driver's seat makes sometimes - depends on the day, some days I will get in and whenever I move it makes a clicking noise somewhere in the lower area, some days its fine. I think it is some metal within the tracks touching the rail. I have taken it all the way out and investigated and nothing is loose. Sometimes the passenger seat does it when empty, but I can't solve it. At least it is intermittent...

And the B&O stereo could be better. Other than that, its awesome!

Have a 7sp Badlands, and I love it. The parking brake, which has been covered here, is so annoying. It needs to be a lever or at least put the switch near the shifter.

Sound system is no bueno.

I could do with less recall notifications, especially ones without fixes available.

Otherwise, it really is amazing so long as your expectations are fair. It’s not a luxury vehicle. It does everything well, it looks great, a the 7sp really is a good transmission that is enjoyable to drive.
