I have not yet taken receipt of the Bronco I ordered, so still driving my minivan (Odyssey). I was up until recently driving a '22 Challenger scat pack but parted with it to clear up the funds for the Bronco... Ordered a '25 Badlands Sasquatch.
I had a '13 Challenger R/T with a 6MT for a while- here's a pic of me and Mrs. RJS Dragon slaying in that ol' fat pig:

Thing is, I never bonded with that car. I came out of a 2001 Corvette convertible, also 6MT equipped that I loved, but had a myriad of electrical problems that all but forced me to sell. The Challenger was trouble-free, but just never felt right. Maybe a Scat Pack with nearly 500 horses would've changed the narrative.

Looks nice! Every time I see one on the road I have to do a double take, such a cool looking profile. It was my dream car but where I live there was very little opportunity to open it up and it being an automatic I eventually got bored. I wanted the 6MT but it was hard to find and I was impatient.

Totally different outlook with the Bronco, I ordered it with exactly what I want and I have no problem waiting (maybe a very long wait)...

The manual is fun, but it really needs two things:
1. The skip shift eliminator. That 1-4 skip shift under light acceleration was maddening.
2. An improved shifter. Hurst made one and I can't remember who made one too, but both greatly improved the experience. I never did change the shifter but I did install a new shifter stalk and shift knob. The pistol grip was a novel idea but never felt right.
They do still turn my head, and any chance I get, I'll get a ride in a Hellcat- thrilling!

I had a 911 as a daily driver since 1999. First a 1990 C4 Cab and then in 2010 I sold that and bought an '06 C2S. Lots of track time, airport runs and everything else. Was time to sell the '06, with 125k miles. I put over 100k miles on each of those cars. Since the kids are all out of high school and the house - mostly, also selling the extra vehicle - 2014 Suburban - which is also past its prime. We had 2 Suburbans - an '04 bought new and sold in '14 with ~150k miles, and then the '14 which I bought usend in Nov '14 with 30k miles, about to sell with ~150k miles. So we keep cars for a long time!
Essentially selling / sold the 997 and the Suburban to buy a new Bronco. Needing the sale price of those 2 old cars plus~$10k cash to cover the full cost of a '25 Big Bend with some nice options, and of course a manual tranny. Both 911s were sticks and I've had a bunch ever since my first car - '69 bug. It's been a long wait for my special order Bronco and should arrive in a week or so.

2024 Sport Black Diamond traded for my 2022 OBX I actually loved my little Sport and I’ll buy another one some day but my next one will be a Badlands. My other ride is another 2.3l Ecoboost rocking over 600whp, built by EMS out of Tennessee it’s an absolute beast!

Sorry, I missed that (sig). That is a crazy long wait!!!
you must be new! 😉

Yeah waits like that were common in the first couple years. I placed reservation in 2020, that converted to an order in March 2021, but Ford did not deliver my Bronco until June 2023. Painful anticipation.

Yep. Everyday … “let’s see if I got the email … nope.” Continues to check every couple hours

… Maybe I need to check the tracker … uh oh … it’s not showing … FORD MUST HAVE CANCELLED MY ORDER …

(calls ford) … Ford rep: “Sir, as I told you the last 864 times you called, there is no status update. The tracker is just down. Here’s a giftcard so you can buy a coffee mug .. stay pumped!”

Checks forum, “hey look someone who ordered 6 months after me got their production email today … awesome.”

*wines on the forum*

forum: “blah, blah allocations … blah, blah.”

*rage throws phone in confusion”

and that’s just one day in the wait of an early orderer ….

Oh yeah, very new to the Bronco community. After reading about Dantastic's wait I went on the Bronco reddit and found many tales similar to yours... What did you do to make that long wait bearable?

Google's ai had some explanation for what contributed to the very long build delays but I'd be interested to hear more about that from people here... I'm assuming much of that has since been sorted out, I spoke to 6 or so dealers and was told to expect wait times from 3 mos to 8 mos now...

Part of it was having things on your order that had part shortages (Sasquatch, 2Door, Base, Hard Top, Lux Package, Tow Package .. I'm sure I am missing some) ...

But the big thing was dealer allocations, which were set based on previous year sales (or something like that) and made no sense to the consumer. Basically dealers were only allocated a certain amount of Broncos per some timeframe and the dealer would never tell the customer. So you pick a small dealer that didn't have a lot of allocations but took a lot of Bronco orders, you had that PLUS the part shortages working against you.

Basically ALL the stars had to align for your order to get scheduled ... the dealer had to have an available allocation and all the parts had to be available. If neither of those were met, regardless of how long you had been waiting, they'd move on. And the kicker was .. you couldn't move your order to another dealership with more allocations, unless you were willing to cancel and re-order.

You could (and were encouraged both by Ford and Dealerships) drop the constrained items from your order to hopefully bump you up and increase your probability of getting scheduled .. but again, no guarantee. It even got to the point where they were sending out messages like, " DROP your constrained items or risk having to re-order if your rig doesn't get scheduled by such and such date and lose ALL price protection."

And how did we make it bearable you ask? ... We didn't ... again I say, "We drove ourselves crazy" lol
