For 5 years I split between this and a 2015 GTI Autobahn to spread out the commuter miles. Bought the GTI new, and this as a CPO with 20k miles in 2017 (it’s a 2014) for about 40% of MSRP, because nobody wanted a used car then. Sold the GTI in 2022 at 70k miles when everyone wanted a used car and kept the Merc. Son was turning 16 in 2024, wasn’t about to put him in a Mercedes, so it became a 2014 VW Tiquan with 40k miles for him. It all lined up to my 50th birthday, and decided I was going to scratch that itch. Went to the Porsche dealership. 911 too big now, and liked the 718 Boxster more instead. Was close…very very close… but also never had a Jeep before and always wanted one of those too. So before pulling the trigger on the Porsche, despite the ridicule of the full-blown midlife crisis jokes from my wife and friends, I tried the Jeep (Rubicon). I laughed when I saw the $70k sticker, and told the dealership that for $70k, it ought to drive better than the last Jeep I drove, a 1988 Wrangler. Was on my way back to the Porsche dealership when I passed the Ford dealership that had a Bronco in “Safari Mode” sitting out front. The rnitial reaction was one that didn’t require a blue pill. Looked at it, loved the extra room inside of it, and placed my order for everything Ford could put on it other than Sasquatch. Been smiling for the last 12 months and 12k miles… Even the Porsche salesman couldn’t fault me for my choice. I took that as a compliment.

I split my time between my daily driver, a 2019 Colorado ZR2:

and our TOAD, a 2004 Wrangler Rocky Mountain Edition.

I don't take a bunch of pics of my vehicles, I typically grab the ones from the dealer's website if I got it from a dealer.
The ZR2 was a great truck with the worst set of seats ever put in a pickup- my back ached like crazy after a short trip in it.
The Wrangler was my 3rd TJ and while I still think the TJ is a great platform- likely peak Wrangler- it just didn't make for a great vehicle when we parked the RV and tooled around- too noisy. The Bronco is a much better option. Quieter, much more civilized and serves the needs of 2 vehicles- I gained a parking spot that will soon be filled by a dentside F-100.

I drove a 2012 Wrangler. Loved it, but at 90K miles I started having mechanical tissues, and I'm not mechanic, Decided to sell it and upgrade to at 2024 Big Bend.

Significantly better rig. LOVE IT!

I have not yet taken receipt of the Bronco I ordered, so still driving my minivan (Odyssey). I was up until recently driving a '22 Challenger scat pack but parted with it to clear up the funds for the Bronco... Ordered a '25 Badlands Sasquatch.

A 2017 Jeep Wrangler Safari

This was a special order after I got hit by an suv on my HD back in 12/21. I ordered it from the hospital.

Then I ordered this the beginning of last year and got it 5/24.

So I gave the F150 to my wife and she loved it but never came close to using it as a truck.
So I traded it for this 2025 Big Bend for her, it was an awesome truck but I’ll take the shorter payment and she digs this too. It’s a pretty cool ride so far.

I was driving a 2012 JK for 12yrs before I started having serious mechanical problems. I'm not a DYI guy, so I traded it after ordering my '24 Bronco. Never looked back. OK, a couple times because

the top and doors were easy to get off.

A 2017 Jeep Wrangler Safari

I had a 2014 Sahara 2dr that I liked very much:

Unfortunately, I was dumb when I purchased it used and didn't crawl underneath. One fine day I was driving along when it all of a sudden got LOUD- I stopped and looked underneath, that's when I discovered the entire undercarriage was RUSTY- turns out the Jeep spent most of it's life in upstate NY. The exhaust system is stainless steel, but the fasteners are NOT (stupid, I know) so the exhaust manifold to headpipe bolts on the passenger's side had rusted through. I went to Ace Hardware, bought new stainless hardware and replaced all the exhaust hardware- so much of it was just about ready to depart this world. I cleaned and rust encapsulated as much as I could- including the frame, suspension components that I didn't replace but I could never escape that nagging feeling that I was going to experience a failure, so she had to go. Shame, it was a nice Jeep otherwise, towed behind my RV well and was reasonably comfortable and quiet(ish) with the hardtop and Hotheads headliner I added.
I wouldn't mind another, but no way it's going to take the place of my Bronco 2dr, and I just don't care for the JL platform at all.
