Mountains to metal makes a neat safe for that spot. Expensive though. Amazon has ABS plastic safe doors for it sub $100.

Not a fan of hanging that much weight with that much cantilever unless you plan on reinforcing hinges as well - I did a simple molle first aid kit. My ARB is in a DV8 storage tray instead.

My space, running the AR/AAL compressor, and the BroAddict Molle table. I also run the DV8 Tire/Accessory carrier with a 37. No issues.

I did the same here. I really like this little panel but I can’t remember where I got it - pretty sure I stole the idea from Johnny Mo though.

$400 for that? Seriously?!
That’s not an uncommon reaction. In their defense there is a lot that goes into making them and made in the USA 100% is not cheap. It’s one of their best selling products, but yes it’s pricey

M2M stuff is pretty nice, and made in USA if that matters to you.

Yes, it’s expensive though. And not worth it for every one. The Amazon ones are mostly just plastic covers - the M2M one will hold out against the Fourth Amendment though.

Buried somewhere in this forum there's an American company that makes a really nice compressor setup that mounts in there. It seemed like a reasonable price but it was a really, really nice setup to make use of that space.

I made a lid out of a chopping board that I picked up from target. Heated it up with a torch and slowly got it to bend to shape. The lid hold in place very well with 6 counter sunk magnet. It's not perfect but it cost only a few bucks to make. I am able to store my winch remote and cable, air hoses and tire deflators.

Pretty sure that it is supposed to be a vented cover of some sort.

I was wondering the same thing when I was making it but haven’t notice any problems. Maybe because there are no seals or gaskets around the lid?

The tailgate itself has a lot of venting. As I stated earlier, I have the AR compressor in that location, and I have not had any issues, nor has anything overheated.
