The "Ordered Vehicle form" says I have 10 days after arrival to purchase the agreed vehicle on the agreed price. Both me and dealer manager dated/signed it.
So in other words, the vehicle arrives and they hold it for 11 days before telling you.

Does the contract specify the exact vehicle, down to the VIN? Does it include all the costs associated with the purchase, including fees?

What happens if you don’t buy the vehicle within 10 days?

Does it include any state mandated provisions such as a right of rescission?

Ultimately a contract is only as good as it is tight, and your willingness to enforce it in a court of law.

ā€œFrom America to Americaā€. Does that mean the Mexico-made Bronco Sport and Maverick are not included?

Poetic license

Chevy advertised the 90s Camaro as being ā€œfrom the country that invented rock n rollā€ despite it being assembled in Canada.

It’s a car deal. Subject to every tactic, scam and trick there is. Buying almost anything else is so much easier.
That’s why Tesla has always been better for car buying experience. Fords has to protect those car dealership owners. You know the ones with airplanes and several multimillion dollar house. The whole dealership system needs a refresh to cut out the middleman and pass savings to us.

I don’t mind if someone invests millions, makes millions. Good for them. But enough of the games and see what sticks sales method.

Well dealerships have done a good job of greasing state legislatures to convince them to protect their model. So some states you don’t get the direct to consumer choices. Honestly. Having owned several Teslas and now back in Ford. It’s laughable to think dealerships provide some extra value to me.

Pass the savings along?

Oh sweet summer child…

Savings don’t get passed on. That’s called leaving money on the table.

I hate dealers, but let’s not pretend that we’d be better off. We’d just be getting screwed in a different way.

Many manufacturers (especially in the bike world) offer 20% off DTC sales to compete with sales in a shop(which of course are marked up). If a manufacturer had dual sales channels (which I believe is not legal via federal law) we would could see real price transparency. The dealership model is so entrenched that it's a heavy lift out of there. Again other than having inventory on hand, besides this don't see benefit of dealership.

Not sure there is a federal law about dual sales channels - plenty of products are sold that way.

Whether it’s musical instruments or tech products, manufacturers rarely offer better deals than third parties.

Unlikely. Ford’s employee pricing is barely below invoice.
So I guess it depends on how much under invoice you agreed to.
It used to be (A-plan) , in my opinion , was a pretty damn good deal that you'd have a very hard time, if not impossible, reaching on your own. One of the local dealers had their pricing strategy set at essentially $1000 or so over A plan for anybody that walked in off the street. It was difficult to beat that if you had no eligibility for discounts.

It certainly feels like the discounts are less steep now, but I lost my eligibility a long time ago.

Especially considering it was a no haggle deal , walk in , announce you're A plan and they'd knock $7 or 8k off a decently loaded ($38 - $42k) vehicle .

Yeah. Employee pricing is still very good on certain vehicles, but not most.
It also doesn’t help that’s there’s a huge amount of left over 24’s which makes dealers already bring down prices near or lower than employee pricing.
If it wasn’t for that, it would be a much better deal.

Today’s average rate is too high for most potential buyers.
LOL, I tend to think folks got very used to much lower than "normal" rates. The younger crowd has just never seen 7% be the norm for houses and cars.
Not a lot of "free money" at the moment.
My Dad talks about 12 and 14% being a "good rate" in his day.

It's sort of like wishing for the days of ($350 x 48mo )truck payments with very little down to make it happen.
Sorry pal, that was 25+ years ago. LOL

This promotion got me to a dealer for a test drive yesterday, and now there’s a ā€˜25 HE parked on my driveway. I picked the specs and my wife picked the color.

I took the roof rack off this morning and put it in storage until I have a good reason for it to be on there. I like the naked roof look on the HE. Getting it off wasn’t quite as effortless as the Ford video makes it look but I got it done. I slide a thin, flexible clear plastic ruler between the clips and roof and worked it from both sides to help move those virgin clips down/out since loosening the triangle bolts didn’t get it done.

My wife isn’t tall enough to help me walk it back off the roof, so I threw a fleece blanket under all 4 corners once it was free, then stood on the rear bumper and let the front posts slide back with the blanket until I had enough leverage to lift the whole thing off.

First post here and I’m looking forward to learning a lot from the bronco vets. First thing I have to figure out is what aftermarket front license plate bracket I’m going to order so I don’t have to drill holes in my painted trim piece for the one that came with it. Because hell no.

There is a difference between ā€œinvoiceā€ (dealer cost includes floor plan costs, dealer prep, other in the door costs), and ā€œtissueā€ which is the car cost leaving the factory doors. Don’t be mislead. Sticker cost is BS. Always negotiate from tissue, not invoice.
