2024 2 dr Heritage Hardtop Leaks

My bronco has 500 miles on it and I'm about to take it to the dealership to fix the leaking roof for the 3rd time. This is absolutely ridiculous. It continues to leak on the passenger side, sometimes the inner roof panel and sometimes what appears to be from the window or something. (there is always water on the lip under the side window). Thoughts? (I came from a wrangler... at least it waited a few years before the roof started leaking)

There's a few threads out here on fixing leaks, both water and wind that might be able to help. I'm a two door and no leaks but do get allot of wind noise around the door windows.

Bring up them replacing the leaking hatches if they can't figure it out, all of them are pretty expensive on the mod tops so let the warranty cover it. Also try another dealer to look at it, they might give a different perspective.

Though my hard top did not leak it did develop cracks. Ford is replacing the top but funny thing the windows have to be transferred from one top to the other. The dealership had to have it installed by a glass company just hope it still doesn’t leak. I think the tops are nice but not “FORD” tough. But I am thankful it was still under warranty

Yours is the MIC top with cracks, correct? No mod top that I know has developed cracks.

Well I have had mine for 18 months... White MOD top for a 2 door. No leaks, No cracks, no issues.

MICs are the original black/gray plastic kinda grainy hard tops. The HEs were the first to come with the white painted smooth modular (mod) top. As for issues? Mine has been good, no water leaking but it's a bit noisy around the door seals, no cracks anywhere and the paint has held up great. The only real issue I've read about was some of the earlier tops with the removable rear windows had problems with the glue on the latches and were replaced under warranty. This thread was the first I've seen where there has been an issue with leaky top hatches and seals.

Thanks guys, I have a Heritage limited and hasn’t had any issues yet, it’s a little noisy, but I expect that from a box with removable everything

Ok update: After the last time in the shop, if it is raining really hard (as it does in Houston), I get in the bronco and its dry. Once I drive away and turn left, a bunch of water comes pouring out onto the passenger side rear window. Seems like water is getting trapped somewhere and escapes when I turn. Going back into the dealer this week to try to fix it again... I think if it isn't fixed after this time I will have to threaten lemon law or them replacing the entire roof. 4th time in the shop with 500 miles isn't giving me a lot of confidence.

I wonder if the drain line is blocked for some reason. There is a small drain pan with a drain line on the left and right side of the front channel. If you remove the front roof panels there is a hole near the "accessory ready" (where you mount the roof racks or light bars) spot inside on the bottom of the front channel. below that hole is a very small drain pan that connects to a hose that runs down the A pillar to the outside.... Just something to check.

FYI, bronco is back in the shop for about the 6th or 7th time to correct the leaking hardtop. I have brought up that I'm considering the lemon law, and requesting an entire new roof. We will see what happens next.

My local ford dealership although unable to fix the problem, has been very nice and made sure I had a loaner most of the time.
