When I was looking to buy a 2024 Badlands, I looked at a couple that had removable hoop steps on the rock sliders. I ended up buying a Badlands without the hoop steps. I have decided I would like to have them but can't seem to find how to obtain them. Are they only available from the factory installed?

My dealer ordered them for me and I replaced. Very easy.

As noted, your dealer can get the OEM version for you. If you have a 4dr you also have the option or adding the raptor side steps.
There are also several well made options aftermkt for rock slider/rails that incorporate step options..

Lots of good input/discussion threads from members and sponsors that can help

Did you install them or did the dealer? It appears holes need to be drilled in the slider. I want to make sure they are removable for when I go off-road.

I do have a 4dr but only want the hoop steps for the front. I did a search before posting and there seems to be some conflicting information. I am not sure what to believe. I do prefer OEM. I just need to find a dealer that doesn't over price things. The one closest to me really marks thing up.

I installed. No drilling. Simply remove a few bolts and reinsert. Parts have instructions.

If you've researched then I'm sure you know the steps are easily removable from the rail so ordering the OEM you'll get 4 steps and will only install what you want.

Based on the previous post it seems you can order for yourself. Although, my experience has been our dealer charges list price, + occasionally they can give a discount and/or apply points. Although admittedly, I apparently just have a good dealer.

Good luck

The hoops do not attach to rock sliders. They have a different tube. The tube that comes with the hoops are not intended to support the weight of the Bronco.

Very true.

However, I have found them to be quite adequate for the kind of trail/off roading around these parts with stumps, rocks, ruts and what not, as long as you're not Moab-esq high pointed or pivot/sliding on a rock using only the rails. Even the OEM rails on the Badlands that are suppose to be able to support the weight can't guarantee you won't get some damage-deformation if you don't know what you're doing.

Not trying to talk the op into or out of this option just sharing my experience.

I asked my dealer to include, along with cargo mat and trailer hitch as free add ons when I purchased my Badlands in December

Oh, that is not what I am looking for. It looks like I will need to get something like the M2M hoop steps.

Took the hoops off of mine as they really weren't in the right place for me or Mrs. LAX... Come to find out the rails are not weight bearing as mentioned above. Not a big deal until I head out to CO this summer... May look at trying to sell mine (4D BL non SAS) and upgrading to some "real" rock rails. Looks like plenty of takeoffs on Ebay.
