Has anyone figured out how to have the parking sensors be disabled or maintain status across starts? When I have my rear skid plate on the hitch it makes my parking sensors squawk when reversing. Would like for the button to maintain current selection even after a new start.

ForScan most likely.

Edit: Didn't see you posted this in the ForScan sub-forum.

Can’t you turn it off in the instrument cluster settings? Or is that only for the front park aid sensors?

Nothing that I can find. Just the parking sensors I need to be disabled.

Sorry, not the instrument cluster. The setting to turn them off is in the infotainment screen settings. You can turn off the front and rear, or either one independently

I do not see any options to turn these off.

Not sure which screen you have, but on the bigger 12” screen, go to: Features, Driver assistance, Park aid sensors.

found the settings but this is just a temporary change. After restart of the vehicle the settings are put back. No idea why it is even an option when you have a button you can quickly push.

They are supposed to stay off. You need to go to a dealership and tell them it won’t stay deactivated. This is a known issue. Here is the TSB. They just need to do an update

Great read. My garage is so small they scream at everything the whole-time backing in. A temporary pop up "silence" button on the screen display would have been a nice feature.

There’s a button to temporarily disable it right under the screen

I must have given up before reaching that part of the downloadable online owner's manual. Dang huge file gave me a headache. I may be turning into an old curmudgeon, but I miss print media.
