That’s crap that they don’t follow it further. In my area of occupied California, they don’t punish theft or other crime as that way they can say crime rate has dropped. 20 times In the last 6 month I have run off catalytic converter thieves, burglars and people trying to break into cars. I have their faces, cars, plates all on camera and my own observation and guess what…. Squat. Last time I caught a guy trying to break into one of our cars, the police didn’t even show up, call or give a crap. Called the dispatcher in the morning and she couldn’t care less. “Oh there are bigger fish to fry” she said. Told her of all the evidence I had and she asked if I wanted an officer to call. Told her no, I wanted them to respond while the crime was in progress but to call off their wanted pics and plates. Got crickets.I was literally told by the automated police reporting system that because I had no concrete evidence of who stole it, and video was typically not sufficient, they were suspending the case. This was within 24 hours of my tire getting stolen.
