Heritage Edition vs Badlands

Hello, looking to order a 25 HE or non SAS Badlands. Im looking for the best bang for the buck capability offroad and daily driver comfort. Looking to do weekend camping trips in the Rockies and occasional moab trips. Why would I pay more for the badlands? Especially to get a hard top like HE. Looking through all the order forms I cant see any advantage the badlands has that what you save getting a HE you cant add a better aftermarket upgrade. The sway bar disconnect doesn’t really matter to me. I guess ultimately are there interior comforts (is leather way more comfortable than cloth) or offroad capabilities Im missing that makes the badlands worth it? Thanks for your help.

From an off-roading standpoint... the advantage Badlands has is full-vehicle bash plates, rock rails, and stabilizer bar disconnect.

Heritage only has a front bash plate, no rock rails, and as you mentioned no stabilizer bar disconnect.

I had a '23 Heritage and '23 BL on order that got build notices a week or two apart (expectation was they'd be 4-6 months) so I ended up cancelling the Heritage. Looking at the '25 build and price page it looks like the Heritage is now 4 door only? Is that right? If so that's a damn shame. IIRC the Heritage has HOSS 1.0 vs BL's HOSS 2.0 (non-SAS); that's another off-road aspect.

Yes, Heritage is Big Bend based so 4dr only for ‘25

Yeah its weird how Ford says HOSS 1.0 but it is sasquatch so by that definition it gets 2.0 and 3.0 like you said.

Sounds like I am tracking all these two. My thinking is Id put next venture armor on it with the money I save. It sounds like the biggest difference for me personally is leather that much better than cloth and is my love of green worth badlands haha. I do like the red. It matches my 96.

It's marine grade vinyl unless you spend the extra $2400 for "leather trimmed seats" (with the 4-door you do get an electric driver's seat). Personally I'd spend my money on Katskin's over the OEM leather.

Very true. I think the only benefit of the “leather trimmed” is the better headrest. It doesn’t lean forward as much but id probably just order the headrest itself and reupholster it. Kinda sounds like badlands isnt worth it.

I don’t know much about the HE but the marine grade vinyl in my 23 badlands non sas is awesome. Extremely fun and capable vehicle

the HE has always been a bargain compared to other trims built the same
if you are not interested in rock crawling, then the HE is the way to go

Badlands also gets signature lighting standard, all tow points and mod bumper vs the Jeep bumper.

i am pretty happy with the Heritage. Includes a lot of retro inspired cosmetic features. I feel it is a good value for the price.
But then again my Bronco is mostly my work commuter and do not plan to take it rock crawling on the Rubicon trail and such.

No sway bar disco, but the never used that too much in my past Rubicon.

Last time was on the Rubicon trail was with a lower trim but lifted YJ.
