I wouldn't hold much faith in that cover. They do make IPX6 components though.
I just need it to fight off the rain. I don't go swimming often.

I just need it to fight off the rain. I don't go swimming often.
I'll add some clarity, I use a cyclical corrosion chamber like this at work. We use it to test wiring harness and electrical component integrity. You'd be surprised where salt water gets even when a component is IPX6 rated. That being said, I would never test an Anderson with that cap if I wanted the product to function after the test.

Thanks, I was planning on that.

Since you noticed I live in Oregon and we don’t salt our roads in the winter you’d know that salt water intrusion wouldn’t be a concern.

You've obviously missed the point. That dust plug is not water tight. Water and electrical connectors are not friends.

You've obviously missed the point. That dust plug is not water tight. Water and electrical connectors are not friends.
So using your test device with plan water how long before the plug corrodes?

I finally splurged on a ghost antenna. Then went overboard with the mounting.

I started with a 3D printed temp mount while my SendCutSend order was on the way. It actually worked great.
