I am somewhat curious what that has to do with my post though.
I put on the k&n CAI and changed the downtube for the turbo along with a few more options like the corsa exhaust. It really gained me nothing in MPG as I am flatlining around 18mpg but I do 90% local non highway driving. I am pretty sure I would get 20 if I had more highway. My reason was to hopefully get more HP and maybe a little better mpg.
I have gotten this when setting the cruise control at 65mph. That is the ONLY time I have gotten anywhere near this mpg. My 2.3L 4-door 7-speed averages about the same city or highway and that is around 17.5mpg (real calculation), not the wildly optimistic mpg the trip computer gives you (always at least 1mpg high, sometimes up to 2mpg high)
Ethanol free is always available here at 90 octane and most snowmobiles and ATV's fill up with it as opposed to vehicles. It is usually priced around the same price as super. That being said you do get better fuel mileage (about 10% based on the simple math of BTU's/gallon) but the mile or so per gallon improvement does not make up for the cost. As for drive ability of the Bronco there is no significant difference--no different than running super. Some have claimed a noticeable improvement from running super but I have never experienced and appreciable gains other than me thinking I am to justify the expense.
I bought a 2022 outer banks in Jan 2023.
I have a 2 door wildtrak In town I average 18 maybe a little over. I run premium fuel and yes it makes a difference. The best I’ve gotten on a road trip was in the San Juan’s we got two tanks over 26. On average over 4K trip it was 24.2 and that was on trails in Moab to mountain roads Ouray. And 1200 miles of 75 mph interstate driving each way. Now my driving style is low RPM pulling and not high RPM acceleration. My Bronco has never seen a 4K RPM mark unless my kids do it lol

And although I'm not going to scroll through all the posts, I did see this one. Not only did it actually make me legitimately laugh out loud, it's completely accurate. Also, I'll probably reference this again
Anyway, for anyone new to the Bronco world wondering about this. The reality of the situation is, that there is going to be a percentage of people that really love the Bronco, but can't justify actually owning one. And that is really the internal battle going on here. 'If only I could get 5 to 10 MPGs, than I could justify buying one for my daily'
I get it, I do. But here's the deal. Broncos are not practical for daily commuting to the office. If you want to justify buying one, tell yourself whatever lie you need to, but on paper, there is no justification for a Bronco, except sacrificial happiness.
Milage - get a Prius
Speed - get a Porsche
Luxury - get Rolls Royce
Reliability - get a Lexus
Rock crawling - get a side by side
Cargo area - get a minivan
Overlanding/rooftop camping - get a truck
Hauling a trailer - get a bigger truck
You want a really cool looking vehicle, where you can take the top and doors off, be more comfortable with the best ride quality in an off road centric vehicle, and have a hobby that will empty your wallet every time you turn around - buy a Bronco.
And if all you want to do is drive it to work because you just love the Bronco - than get one.
Just know, you really can't rationally justify it, other than, it makes you happy. But that has value.
But make no mistake, it will cost you more money, it's up to you to decide if that's where you want to spend it.
