Can someone remind me if we can upgrade the engine to the 2.7 in any 4 door model that comes with the 2.3 stock?
For 2025, only the Outer Banks is the only trim that comes with the 2.3L and can be upgraded to the 2.7L engine.
  • Base and Big Bend come with the 2.3L standard
  • Heritage and Badlands come with the 2.7L standard
This is all 4-door automatic by the way, 2-door and manual transmission have a different story.

Thanks! Damn that sucks. I'm sure the Outer banks upgraded to the 2.7 and upgraded to a hard top (if it doesn't already come with one) would still be slightly less than the heritage edition no?

I miss when I was able to order the 21' base with the 2.7 and hardtop and call it a day :tumbleweed:

We have no idea.

But... yeah... I would expect Outer Banks 2.7L to be slightly cheaper than Heritage. Largely because Heritage has the Sasquatch package standard.

Makes sense. Thanks for the replies.

Totally agree I have a 2 dr and think they're the real Bronco BUT I'm buying a new one in 24' or 25' and 4 dr is not off the table after having a 2 dr for a year and a half could really use the extra space!
And fuel capacity. Been there done that myself.

My bet is still a small price cut like they did with the F-150

https://www.motor1.com/news/740063/2025-ford-f150-price/

I think Ford reacts to the market better and isn’t a complete clusterfudge like Stellantis and doesn't believe their poop doesn't stink like Toyota.
Do you think a 4 door auto Big Bend with the mid package at $5,500 off MSRP would be cheaper than a Base four door auto?

Yes. I would push for a bigger discount on the '24 BB. The Base is listed as late availability which is code for Job2. Job2 will likely also have a mid-year price hike.

Ok sounds good, what would you consider a good deal when it comes to a "bigger discount" on a BB?

Others have been getting $8K off MSRP. I think there is room for the dealer to move the stagnant inventory.
Is that on a BB or other trims, if so I would love to get $8,000 off. How would I go about doing that when my local dealers are only doing $5,500 max.

Find a different dealer?

Not sure how else to tell you to negotiate. Don't be loyal to the dealer if they aren't going to be loyal to you. If they have prioritized you in the past with appointments and extending discounts on parts and labor, then give them the business at their max discount. If they don't do anything special for you, then don't help them out.

Expand your search. Seems like finding a '24 BB shouldn't be that hard.

I wish it were that easy, I live on the west coast so I am very limited on my options as most of the dealerships within a 500 mile radius are discounted about the same at $5,500.

I can't see one that is $8,000 off MSRP, is it just what people are negotiating and the dealerships aren't advertising it?

I think for BBs it's rarer to get such a large discount because they sell after they hit a certain price point. It's Badlands and Wildtraks that seem to sit. The hype on expensive off-road vehicles is kinda waning and few want to spend $60-$70K on a vehicle they might off-road once a year.

I just checked out the Ford site, and for cars and SUVs 6 out of 8 models are still on the 2024 version when you click on them. It might be a long wait....

Can I have build and price for Christmas? :(
at this point I am hoping for Thanksgiving... 😕
