Can't decide and tired of research. OEM K02's are shot. Want to order these at lunch today or tomorrow.

Details -
- Badlands station wagon, non-SAS, 7sp manual, Factory rims or possibly new basic steelies.
- Lots of extended highway driving
- Good amount of backroad driving (Gravel and dirt roads, forest roads)
- Mild off-roading with the (very) occassional rock crawling.
- Snow/cold/frozen climate at times
- 285/70/17

I voted KO3’s so I can hear how they compare to the KO2’s you had. Otherwise AT3W or 4W would probably be my pick

K03 was my intial choice, both Discount Tires I went to told me not to get them, that they haven't been able to balance a set of properly yet. Might take the risk though.

I like Cooper Rugged Treks or Kenda Klever RT's. I'm in the same situation, but I'm wanting to go to a 35. Factory wheels have trail rash and I haven't decided if I'm replacing them or not.

I voted other - Mickey Baja Boss A/T. I have seen more than a few people here get them and say they absolutely love them. Also 99% that's what I am going with when my factory tires need to be replaced.

BFG ATs are notoriously difficult to balance. One of my 5 would never balance, so I just made it my spare. Go with the Falkens.

Stop going to discount tire. They overlube and the first time you take off the tire rotates in the wheel. This causes the balance to be off... use a witness mark on the tire and wheel to make sure this doesn't happen. Pro tip BFG gives a discount if you donate to tread lightly.

I went with KO3s in 285/70/17 on my stock Big Bend rims from Discount Tire in early September and thankfully all 5 of mine balanced fine. Massive upgrade for me over the factory Duellers! I’ve only been through a few rain storms since getting them, but have had zero issues with wet traction so far. Offroad and driving up to my buddy’s farm on the top of a mountain gravel road they’ve been a game changer. I was expecting a good bit of road noise increase on the highway, but honestly very little difference from the Duellers they replaced. Looking forward to testing snow traction- likely next month, and will report back.

If you're buying through DT, then that would be their problem. :) If they can't balance them, they would need to order more and return the ones that don't balance. Might be a bit of a pain if you have to come back. Do you have a Costco membership? What price are you getting?

That’s pretty concerning that they’re having problems balancing KO3’s. Big Boss commented the Mickey Baja Boss A/T. Those seem like a great tire but I’m not sure how their snow performance stacks up. The Falken has a great track record.

I didn't think the Falken AT3W's were still available? Did you find somewhere that had old stock? I just put a set of the AT4W's on my FJ, and they have been awesome.
