Hello fellow Bronco owners. I recently traded in my 2016 F-150 for my first off-road capable vehicle. I originally had a ‘23 Heritage on order, then switched it to a ‘24 Everglades when the ordering banks opened up for the ‘24s. I waited 13 months for an Eruption Green Everglades, then got hosed by the dealer and found the Azure Gray Everglades at another dealership. I’m looking to do some mods, but I feel like the most important item with the 2.3 is to get the Oil Separator first…I’m driving like a granny to try to protect the engine until I get that. Also looking to get the rockslide engineering power steps, and reinforcing the rear door hinges with the Raptor rear door setup. Of course there are the typical cosmetic as well, but I would really like to have the entire body wrapped with PPF.

FWIW not sure an oil separator is gonna do much. I’ve had a few heavily modified eco-boosts with oil separators and they didn’t seem to capture anything at all. But some people swear by them, so to each their own.

I guess my main concern is carbon buildup because of the Direct Injection in the 2.3, vs the 2.7 utilizing Port Fuel Direct Injection.

Definitely understand the concern. Just not sure how effective those catch cans really are. I've never had the 2.3 and Im not that technically sound with engines, so you are probably right lol. I've had two 3.5s and I'm on my second 2.7.
