I recently bought some Baja design A-pillar lights and need help with the toggle switch because I do not have the aux switch connections. The toggle switch wiring came with the positive/negative connectors and a relay. Does anyone know where you are supposed to attach the relay in the engine bay? I am a complete novice when it comes to wiring and I want to make sure I do everything right the first time around.

Generally the relay will get attached to the firewall or other metal in the engine bay - a pre-existing grounding point is always a good place to start. The black wire would then get attached behind the relay to that same bolt. The red should go to one of the spare battery connections on the + (red) side (check your instructions) then not sure about baja - but there should be a another wire that attaches to an ignition power source - otherwise your lights will go on when the car is off. The lights get grounded at the closest grounding location on either side of the pillars along the firewall. In the diagram below - the skinny red wire to the switch technically is what should be coming from an IGN on location or via fusebox tap.

Unfortunately I don't have a real one to show you that will help as I already have the Aux Switches.

It's not a hard thing to do, but if you don't know what you are doing you can fry something quick.

Just attach the red wire to your battery positive termimnal. Black wire to the negative terminal. That's it. Then run the switch inside.

The relay doesn't get attached to anything unless you want to secure it out of the way. That's just a mounting point if you want to mount it to something (not required you're getting ground from the black wire).

I am glad to hear the lights are working great (y) For any questions, you can always feel free to reach out via PM with any questions or give us a call at 760-560-2252. As a reminder, Baja Designs lights have a lifetime warranty, and you have the option to swap the lens pattern and color for non-SAE lights.
