Just got back from our annual August road trip. Started off in Taos, up the Million Dollar Highway to Montrose and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and then over to Creede for a few days.

John Dunn Bridge and the Rio Grande outside Taos.

Went up one side of Greenie Peak and down the other side into Red River. Ironically, ended up in the middle of a wedding at the top of Greenie and the wedding party was from Oklahoma as well.

Headed up to Montrose and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Very underrated park.

Wrapped up with a few days in Creede. Did Bachelor Loop (just to get to the next trail), Rat Creek Loop (saw 2 huge bull Moose on this one), and then Crystal Lake at 12,000+ feet as an offshoot of the Bristol Peak trail. Crystal Lake trail was fun to try out the mud/rut with several off camber spots along with a few 18 degree/30%+ incline/declines with blind turns at the top.

Went to empty the catch can, it was bone dry

Either I oughta buy o-rings that actually fit, or my daily Italian Tune Ups are paying off

Have you ever been up to Goose lake in red river? I camped up there in 2017 and it was gorgeous.

Never been up to Goose Lake. But will add it to the list for the next trip out. We did go to Cabresto Lake after passing it by on Day 1 of Greenie Peak. Small lake that is supposed to be full of Brook Trout. Did not get a chance to prove that right but saw a lot of folks fishing the lake as a storm was rolling in.

I was worried I installed mine wrong as my catch can continues to look the same as the day I installed it. Good to see someone else without anything in the catch can.

This is the first turbo engine I've seen that doesn't blow oil out of the breather. I got the catch can as cheap insurance/preventative maintenance; it's just a bonus that it appears to be not needed.

Installed my Scratchuatch wheel rings I purchased from @StinkBug. The A51 color matches perfectly. I wish the individual sections mated up better to create a seamless look, but overall I still am glad I purchased them.

Usually at 3-4k miles I got a single shot of expresso from it, this time it was dry. Again though, lead footed with Italian Tune Ups

I'm in MN. Summer months I don't see much of anything in the can, few drops. Winter is where I see 1/3 to half a can every 1000 miles or so.

How are they in the rain?
We had a pretty hefty downpour Sunday, felt great. Wipers were at max for 2-3 minutes, but it was pretty localized the sun came out shortly afterwards.you could see the water getting ejected quite well. It's been surprisingly dry here in Pittsburgh, but so far so good. I've also been keeping them at 34 psi and 3/4 of a tank in I'm still slightly better than my average on the goodyears which was ~14.5 MPG

I added a Turn Off-road Baja Bull Bar. Was gonna do new Bronco script emblems but it’s too dang hot in Oklahoma right now. Heat Index of 115. With the humidity it’s like walking into an oven. Don’t want them sliding off because of sweaty hands lol.
